Best Local Filmmaker |
The Verdict
When Mark Steven Grove signed on as stunt and fight coordinator for the local film "Dragon and the Hawk," he had no idea he would end up directing itlet alone being part of Denver's newest film production company. As a result of "Dragon," Inferno Film was formed with a mission to bring big-time film production to the area. Young Grasshopper Grove got his start when he met Lars Lundgren, David Carradine's stand-in and formerly a Colorado Springs-based stuntman. Lundgren recognized Grove's talents and quickly promoted him from student to teaching assistant. From there, Grove went on to act in films from "Highlander" to "3 Ninjas" and now teaches stunt workshops himself. Next Steps Inferno Film is already planning its next picture, a vampire flick, and is accepting treatments and scripts for future projects. Grove has also started his own martial arts dojo and stunt-fighting school as well as a stunt, special effects, and equipment rental company with reduced rates for locals. Bryce Edmonds
