The Size of the Film
The IMAX film is 10 times as large as 35mm film, and three times as large as standard 70mm.

The Size of the Sound
A vibrating, thirty-eight speakers of surround sound at 8,000 watts.

The Result
Indy race cars roaring around the track, jets blasting between mountain peaks or boats plowing through a choppy sea so realistically that many moviegoers over the years have found themselves needing barf bags. Unfortunately, they're not provided. A huge consideration for capturing the perfect images results in IMAX's amazing subject matters and cinematography techniques, like a four-story astronaut drifting in a space walk with the whole of Africa hundreds of miles below.
