Editorial Review for Riverdale Dunes & Knolls – by Jerry Walters
In Short
The links-style course features deep native rough and mounding around the perimeter of the holes along with the distinctive railroad ties that designer Pete Dye is famous for. Canals wind through the layout. Elevated greens are undulating and tricky. The signature hole is number 6, a 410-yard par four. It's uphill, dogleg right. The tee shot must hit the fairway to secure a shot at the severely sloping, treacherous green.

I have played Castle Pines, Champions, and Woodlands (Shell Open) in Houston and this course beats them all. Fantastic greens - teeboxes are better than most greens at other courses.

The Knolls at Riverdale is a challenging course for experienced golfers. The Dunes are equally challenging for less experienced golfers. A great facility providing fun play for all levels of golfers.
Pros: good upkeep, great value, great staff
Cons: getting crowded, only 2 beer carts, needs more trees
