A trail system and lovely scenery make this one of the city's best parks..
In Short
With its incredible scenery and beautiful setting amid the neighborhood's historic homes and classic bungalows, Wash Park attracts young and old who enjoy exercising, people-watching or just getting outside. Mountain views span the skyline from the southeast end of the park, and open lawns are popular venues for soccer and volleyball tournaments in the spring and summer. This park is also a hot spot for dogs and their owners.
volleyball heaven. I've lived in Colorado my whole life. I play Volleyball with an organization that plays weekly during the Spring and Summer months. They chose Washington Park simply because of it's location and I would rather not play anywhere else.
Volley Ball Paridise. Wow, I went to Wash Park on a Sunday morning looking for a Volley Ball game. What I found was Volley Ball paradise! About 30 nets with everybody running 2 person games. What a blast!
Wonderful Park. One of the best parks in Denver. Nestled tight in a residental area, it feels kind of...homey. Cars don't whiz by at a bazillion mph, its nice and relaxing. The park is just the right side, although I do get quite tired trying to run around the lake, great place to play volley, soccer or b-ball - tons of pickup games. Just get on Downing from Alameda or from Bucktell - Great place to just people watch too. Have fun.
Denver's Central Park. Wash Park is the perfect place for a bike ride, tennis, croquet, soccer, frisbee, volleyball...you name it. This park has a lot to offer!
Utopia. The sheer energy of the park is amazing. Well established offering plenty to do. This park caters to all ages.
