The best junk. What can I say? The Cricket may be a dive, but it is my favorite dive in Denver. On any given night there is a band up there, playing primarily for beer and bragging rights, they have the oh-so-trendy PBR on tap. This place is a great joint to stumble out of after a night of Denver talent.

This is the granddaddy of all Denver music dens, a setting for live music every night for nearly three decades..
In Short
The Cricket is legendary for its longstanding live-venue history. The musical emphasis is on barroom rock, amped-up blues and other straight-ahead genres, all played at loud volume. Capitol Hill drinkers, music fans, musicians and bar fiends make up the bulk of the crowd here. Collectively it's a blue-collar, lean-budget mix of folks who appreciate cheap drinks and music in the flesh.
