This place still open?. Is Fat City still open? All the info is from 2006!
Not again. I would not recommend this place for any one of any age. We have reserved a party and found out two days before that it is standing room only for the parents and that we are not going to have any extra space for gifts or any thing else. It is like a mad house or zoo. The staff is very unclear about the rules and regulations and quick to agree with out giving you the facts. If the party where not two days away and innovations sent out I would seek some other place to have my childs party.
How does bowling become cool? Surround it with laser tag, video games, mini-golf and martinis..
In Short
Bowling balls bathed in black-light blast down alleys. Huge televisions above each lane display random cartoons, old movies and music videos. But there's more than just the bowling; mini-golf, pool, laser tag, roller skating and a video arcade attract hundreds of suburban teens. The place also offers virtual reality games that break the mold of the standard joystick-and-two-button Ataris. Urban swingers hang at the bar after breaking 100 on the scoreboard.
i wouldn't recommend this place, its basically made up of little kids running around. Not the place to be if your not 7.. I went there last week, it was terrible. Everyone there seemed as if they were just yelling. It was so loud because of the little children screaming in their high pitched voices. Any of the older people that were there looked as if they just walked away from fat city's bar, they are just as annoying. I would definitely not recommend going. You will regret it.
Cool place to have fun!. Fat City's bowling lanes were awesome. It's a very retro look, with swank seating and plenty of space at each lane. The black lights made the bowling really cool. The price was affordable and the atmosphere of the bowling center is by far the best in town. Great music, a killer bar, good eats and they have tons of other stuff to do, laser tag, mini golf, lots of video games, skating and this crazy twister ride. We had a blast at Fat City.
Perfect Kids' Entertainment. We went to Fat City for the first time last week (08-05). This is the place we will be sure to budget time for on every future trip to Denver, and it will be the second place I will recommend to visitors (Casa Bonita being No. 1). Fat City has SO much to do that visitors should plan for a full day there. They have bumper cars, bowling, mini golf, a twister ride, roller skating, laser tag, a great foam factory, food, drinks, and a gigantic arcade. The employees are helpful and friendly, and the entire facility is very well maintained. The only drawback is the noise level, but you get used to it after a short time, and the fun is worth the noise! Check their specials before planning your trip; they have different ones for almost every day.
Don't bother with the bowling alley.. The bowling alley is very expensive and not well-maintained. The lanes are not waxed regularly, and the seating areas for each lane are very small. Save some money and go to a good bowling alley, like Brunswick.
THE PLACE TO BE. FAT CITY IS THE NEW PLACE TO BE. THEY HAVE RE-DECORATED THE BOWLING ALLEY, AND IT IS VERY UNIQUE.
