Fine dining and excellent service in a wonderful environment
by Unagiman at Citysearch
There is no place like the Brown Palace. Their afternoon tea service is on par with the best in Britain. The historic decor throughout the Brown Palace provides a wonderful feast for the eyes. Both comfortable and refined, there is nothing like the Brown Palace. The Ship Tavern burgers are a special treat, but try not to drip the juices all over your clothes.
- Pros: Superior food quality and service
- Cons: Can be pricey
Loved it

Me and my wife needed a night out on the town and decided to stay a night at the Brown Palace. It was eveything we had hoped for. Great service, clean rooms and complete pampering. It was just what we needed. It is a bit pricy but it was worth it for the experience. -David

Agreed - this place is horrible for New Years
by dweber5 at Citysearch
I agree with a previous review for this hotel. This place is definitely not recommended for New Years. We had 3 friends come in from out of town and we wanted to take them around to enjoy Denver. First issue is when we booked the hotel they said there is plenty of parking. This is the main reason we chose this hotel. We checked in at 4:00pm and then took our friends around town for awhile. Came back at 8:00pm and they tell us the parking is full. Full? They had quite a few rooms open that night. Second, we had asked for accommodations for 5 people and they said that should be no problem. All we expected was two beds and perhaps a cot. After checkin, they tell us there is nothing they can do for us for accommodations. I'm sorry, but we are not filthy rich and able to drop over $1000 on two rooms for one night. Then, at 1:00am in the morning, they knock on the door and bring in a cot. And this could not have been done earlier? Never again, never again.
- Pros: located in downtown near everything, has a nice view
- Cons: staff was horrible, no parking (unless you have the $$$ to drop I suppose)
