In Short
Start with guacamole, a creamy delight that isn't overwhelmed by garlic or onion but balances its elements perfectly. Move on to carnitas estilo michoacan--melt-in-your-mouth chunks of spicy, simmered pork. Or try the enchildas, simple pleasures luxuriating in a pool of mellow green chili. Even side dishes are above-average. Refried beans are just like Mama's, and Spanish rice is the best in town--graced with little chunks of chopped tomato, potato and onion.
