Editorial Review for seven 30 south – by Marty Jones

In Short
The former home of a French-style chain, the house has been tweaked into a wonderful brick and cherry wood space with plenty of soul and elbow room between each table and booth. Dinner regulars include families and twentysomething hipsters from the surrounding Bonnie Brae, along with a number of senior citizens. The menu includes steaks ranging from standard grilled cuts to Jamaican jerked and bourbon-marinated versions. Pastas are also available.

My grandma took me here for the first time today and I loved it! It's a cross between the Cherry Creek Grille and the Wash Park Grille, only brighter and more casual...kind of a lunch version of two of my favorite restaurants. I loved the exposed brick and the dark wood. The bread and pesto dip was absolutely divine, as was the chicken burrito I ordered. I bumped into some old friends on the way out, which was a lovely surprise and made me feel right at home. They told me that it was one of their favorite lunch restaurants. I give it a few months until this place becomes one of the most popular neighborhood hangouts in the Wash Park area. I'm so glad my grandma discovered it!

Absolutely outstanding food. Great variety on the menu and friendly service. Atmosphere is classy, fun and romantic. Parking can be tricky, but any wait is worth it.
