Editorial Review for The Bank Bar & Grill – by Dave Flomberg

In Short
It's been a long time since the Capitol Hill State Bank was a functional institution of finance. The torch has been passed on to the owners of Park Tavern, on 11th near Corona. The result: A place that appeals to the neighborhood and is worth making a trek to. The drink prices are a steal, and the food (burgers and bar fare) more than palatable.

I have no complaints about The Bank besides the really RUDE bartenders. I purchased a V.I.P. card on a Friday that allows $2.00 drinks ALWAYS. I got there during shift change and when I went to close out my tab, they charged me full price for all my drinks. I politely explained that I had purchased the card, to which the first bartender claimed "couldn't change what he'd already ran on my credit card." Which I know if b.s., I've been a server and bartender before. So we (my friends and I) started trying to tell him this and finally I gave up and was going to just take the charges...well then a server overheard us discussing this and was like, "yeah we accept those cards," and went to see if he could do something (Props to him). Then comes in the second bitchy bartender that tells me they A. Don't sell those cards anymore B. It's not her fault that I didn't tell her I had the card when the previous bartender should have upon transferring my tab C. And got SUCH and attitude with me and my friends we REFUSE to sit at the bar from her on out... the SERVING staff is AWESOME. Don't waste your money tipping these rude-ass bartenders.

Pros: $2.00 drinks on wed. and sun., the floor serving staff

Cons: bartenders with bad attitude

I was at the Bank this weekend and it was a blast. The drinks are affordable and the people there are there to have fun, not just be seen. I would recommend the Bank any time you were looking for a relzxing, chill night out on the town.

Pros: free parking, good crowd, great atmoshere
