Go for the grilled artichoke appetizer.
I love grilled artichoke!!
Bloom's grilled artichoke appetizer is no exception (pic uploaded), though $12 for the veggie is wee steep.
Great food & Great service close to home. My husband and I have enjoy going to great restaurants and are estatic to have one so close to home. The service and food are comparable with the best of Boulder or Denver, without the drive, the need to book a table days in advance or a lengthy wait for a table. We have dined at Bloom on numerous occassions and have always found the waitstaff to be attentive, friendly and eager to give suggestions regarding menu items. The menu has a great variety of items sure to satisfy many palates, my personal favorite is the Ahi Tuna and the Brie appetizer with a flight of wine from the extensive wine list. The lunch menu also has some great selections, including a succulent pastrami sandwich on a homemade pretzel roll. We would highly reccomend this restaurant.
Average food, poor service, way overpriced. Went to Bloom recently with some friends to celebrate their newborn kids and a birthday. As a first timer, I have to admit I was very disappointed in the food. Unimaginative and tasteless are two words that come to mind. The special soup tasted like something that could have come out of a can with Chef Boyardee on it, the tuna was average, the salad merely ok. Despite the fact that the restaurant was as quiet as a graveyard, we had to flag our waiter down for drinks, to order or to get bread. The only thing that was stellar was the price, which was absurdly high. Needless to say, I will only be recommending this restaurant to my worst enemies.
Excellent!. I had low expectations for a suburb mall location, but Bloom was excellent. The smoked salmon on potato galettes was the best appetizer I've ever had. They bring you a small bite before you even order - we had a small salad with grilled shrimp. The portions are perfect - enough so you feel you got a good value, but not overly large. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The desserts were absolute perfection. Check this place out - even skeptical Denverites who think there are no good restaurants in the burbs will be pleasantly surprised.
If you bored of the same old food, this place will wake up your tastebuds. I must say this was the best experience I had coming from Chicago. The menu is a great fusion of everything a little bit of an asian touch. It was strange that the place is located outside of denver at a mall but it was such a great surprise for me since I was working out there. I had the scallops with forbidden rice and tuna for my app. I love it so much I went back the next day to try something else before my flight home.
This New American giant at Flatiron Crossing has dropped a few blossoms..
In Short
With a spot in North metro's biggest mall, this place draws everyone from corporate customers to prom dates. There's a huge tiered dining room with soaring ceilings and space at the bar as well, though it can get a bit rowdy at night. Highlights include the warm brie appetizer with roasted garlic served on miniature potato pancakes. For dessert, tbe deluxe root beer float comes with vanilla and coffee ice cream and crystallized ginger.
Great food; pretentious service. I think Bloom has the potential to be a fine restaurant, but there just seems to something a bit off. Perhaps they can't remember they're at a mall for cryin out loud. The food is usually top rate, although a few of the dishes are a bit of a stretch, almost trying to hard to be trendy or different. The ambiance is nice, and a welcome respite from the constant buzz of the mall. The service, on each of my five visits, has been overly snooty, with a somewhat canned hip response to questions about the menu. Maybe its the mall kids that seem to hang out there. It ain't Lodo, and if a top drawer place like Mizuna can be extremely hospitable, so can Bloom. With some work on customer service, this could be a stellar place.
Great atomosphere, good food.. We enjoyed an early evening (apps & dessert) trip to Bloom. The appetizer selection was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our choices. As vegetarians, it was great to have more than one choice on the menu! Desserts were divine, and our wine flights a good expoloration of their themes. Service was OK, but not brilliant. The decor is lovely, seats comfortable. I was surpised at the lack of table linens.
Nice break from mall food..
Bloom is a great place to take a mid-day break from shopping at the Flatirons Mall. They offer several light but tasty menu items in a contemporary, comfortable atmosphere. Lunch items are in the $8-$14 range.
A nice alternative to eating in the food court.
The BEST....
The best meal I've had in a long time! I ate every single bite of my chicken breast and spinach ravioli. It was absolutely heavenly! The waiter, Buck, was wonderful in helping us choose wine (even though I don't think any server was over 21,but still great service).
I cannot say enough good things about this place. I can't wait to go back!!
