bad experience. I dined with 6 others and all of our steaks were over cooked by a lot. We had to ask for water everytime our glasses were empty (we even had to ask for water glasses!) & butter for the bread. It took over 45 min to get the wine we ordered. It took forever for them to clear our plates after we were done. The staff was dreadful...more like walking zombies knowing they'll receive their 20% auto grat. They actually brought the wrong table's food to the table next to us! Our dining experience lasted a total of 3 hours and we were exhaused after being at a conference all day.
great food great price. the waitress that we had was amazing and on top of her game she made sure we had everything we needed when we needed it not to point out the food can you say amazing i think i finally found a place that topped my moms cooking the filet mignon was perfect veggies were steamed to perfection and the presentation was beautiful i would 100% say best steak house in town
Snobby rude staff , good happy hour deals. Good happy hour with drink and food specials . One bartender working with a busy bar and about 6 tables . Service and food very slow and inconsistent . The staff in suits that brought out our food from the other part of the restuarant seemed irritated to have to wait on people that were ordering the less expensive food off the bar menu . The bartender was stressed out , forgetting things and flat out rude to all of us . We will not be back and know some great happy hours in this town with great service !
A steakhouse with refined sensibilities..
The Scene
Gallagher's is not just another steakhouse. The decor is casual with an upscale feel--red-checkered tablecloths, lots of wood and nicely spaced tables.
The Food
Beef is dry-aged for 21 days in an exhibition aging room, then grilled over hickory logs. It arrives at your plate au naturel--no salt, pepper or butter to tarnish the natural flavor of the meat. Pace yourself on the bread, as oxtail soup and seafood platters tempt for starters. The crab cake is to die for, full of Maryland blue crab, quickly deep-fried and finished in the oven. Other options include fish, chicken, veal and lamb. Add a variety of sides, yummy desserts, an affordable wine list with good wine by glass or bottle, a very professional wait staff, and Gallagher's becomes a top contender in the steakhouse wars.
