Very disappointed with our trip to Jack and Grill. The food was over priced and the taste was just OK. Plus they charge for chips and salsa, where 95% of the Mexican restaurants offer this as complimentary. Also, the environment is more akin to a bar, and the overall ambiance was loud and unpleasing. Will not return.

Expensive and no good. My friend and I visited on the 6th..we had been there before. We sat on the patio. The table was sticky. After sitting for 10 minutes I got up and went to a little side table and got my own chips and salsa. After we ordered and the food came..mine was cold. I ordered a vege taco salad..my friend a Mexican Hamburger. I also had Margarita and my friend coffee..there was no coffee made so she had to wait. This was early afternoon. My salad came with very little cheese and cold. I had to order more cheese and ordered some green chili just to try and heat it up temp wise.

When the bill came it was almost $40 dollars for two lunches. They nickeled and dimed us for EVERYTHING..we both ordered Mexican lunches but they charged us for the salsa for example. I tiny bit of Guac was $2.00 Even though I had to get our own salsa..they charged me for it! I told our Waitress our food was cold and she just said she would tell the Manager.

The food was tasteless..the green chili no good and the cheese was processed flavorless at best. Skip this place and go accross the street to the fast food place..Santiago's they have good green chili..hot food and lots of cheese..you can't get a Margarita at Santiagos but you will pay less than half the cost of the meal..which will buy you a whole litre or two of Margaritas at the liquor store to take home later..Skip Jack N Grill..no good..dirty looking and just tastelss.

Worst Mexican food I have ever had the displeasure to eat. We visited the 92nd and Sheridan location on 7/23/2011

The biggest burger I've ever seen!. My boyfriend and I visited Jak-N-Grill last week, the place was packed so we sat outside. the service was great we got our drinks and chips & salsa right away. The only bad thing was they were out of several items such as onion rings, which ofcourse is what I wanted to have.... When we got our food we were very suprised to see this huge burger! it seriously covered over half of the plate and required both hands to eat. our food was very tasty and we had a great lunch for a reasonable price. we will go back if we ever are in the area again

Very disappointing. After waiting 30 minutes for a seat I was excited to try this place for the first time. Why else would this place be packed like this?

Once our table was ready we were asked about having some queso dip. RESIST! it is velvetta and diced green chile and probably water since it was so runny.

We got a burrito and a hamburger. The burger was fine since it had sides with it and you could add some salt and pepper. The burrito on the other hand was among to plainest buritto I have experienced to date. Mexican food has seasoning and this has NONE. Do people really think this is good food? ECK!

The prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes, but what about the flavor?

Disgusting!!!! Never going back.. I have never eaten food that was that bad. The 2 types of chili were gross and unfortunately they INSIST on smothering everything they make with it. Suprised it wasnt in my drink. Couldnt even taste my food because of the red chili (overpowering and tastes horrible). Yuck. Server was kind of pushy. Will never gone back and I would advise anybody thinking of trying it to stay away.

Good homestyle food. After JNG was showcased on Man vs Food I got curious about the burrito which was actually very good. This place is really nice as it offers tasty mexican dishes which don't cost much. This is one of the best places for mexican food because the food quality is excellent, green chili is the best, and the service is pretty okay.

Food tastes like Formula 409 - Mangement clueless Run Away!!. When I saw the review about the police being called because someone didn't want to pay for a terrible meal I thought they must be exaggerating, I couldn't believe a manager would be that stupid. I may have misjudged. Sun night @ 7:30 my wife and I decided go to the Westminster JNG since we live about 15 blocks from there. The hostess and seater were dressed like it was laundry day, we were seated in a booth with a 2 foot long tear in the seat and food on the floor all around. We contemplated leaving right then but Denise the server came over and she was very pleasant so we decided to stay. We ordered house margaritas, BLAND!!!!! My wife had the Combo plate #1, I had the carne adobada/bean sopa. Neither meal had much flavor, green chile was thin and tasteless. Then the fun started, the servers started taking the booths across from us apart and cleaning them with 409. Now our food tastes like 409, sadly not an improvement. I went to get the manager and my wife commented to the waiter about the rudeness of doing that while we were eating, he said he had been told to do it by the manager and apologized and stopped. The manager came over and offered to move us, we didn't want to move, we wanted to leave, everything now tasted like 409. He asked what I wanted, I said I want to know what I owe so that I could pay and leave, He said" Okay, Awesome!" I asked him if he thought it was awesome that they had ruined our dinner and we were leaving unhappy. He said that wasn't what he meant but I honestly think he didn't care, his attitude is terrible. He brought our check, comped nothing even though we could only eat half our meals. I commented that I couldn't believe he was charging me $42.00 for our ruined meals and he turned and walked away. The server Denise apologized several times. I tipped Denise well because it wasn't her fault that her manager is an inconsiderate imp with zero customer service skills. We won't go back!

dont complain|\ awful customer servicey cop. my son and his girlfriend went to store on 94th in westminster, it was a little before closing as he worked long hrs that day. they went to celebrate one year anniversary.. food was too bad to eat had a drink and decided to go elsewhere, manager was asked to delete meals as they were not eaten, and he would pay for drinks, manager said if he took a bite he had to pay my son asked for his credit card and was refused, and manager called police.. police asked no questions of my son or his girlfriend and were issued tickets for disorderly conduct and made to pay 40.00 bill. needless to say complaint filed with watch commander wesrminster police, and credit card disputed, and will be in court

Eat elsewhere. I was curious about the 7-pound burrito, as I would imagine many people have been, so I ventured out to the new Jack N Grill on 92nd and Sheridan to see if this monster lived up to its reputation; I was sorely disappointed. Big: yes. Good: NO. Obviously, the forces behind JNG have done something right to be showcased on Man v. Food, so after seeing how the burrito was prepared on the show, I figured I just couldn't lose. Wow, was I wrong. If JNG advertised their burrito as six pounds of seasoned potatoes with a smattering of everything else (by the way, they use a "ham puree" for their meat ingredient not pieces of ham as seen on TV; sorry meat lovers) this burrito would be accurately advertised. I had to send out a scouting party to find the eggs and cheese that typically come in a breakfast burrito and they came up wanting. Are corners being cut to save money? In any event, the burrito was a let down and I will not be ordering it or going back to JNG ever again. Having sat down in their invitingly styled restaurant, the best part about it was the service and the queso. Both were very good, but their food was only a cut or two above Casa Bonita's fare and that stuff is pure prison food. Save your money and head out to a different Mexican restaurant if your want good food or go to JNG if you like big, bland portions and long wait times.
