Great Menu, Great Food. We order from Moon Gate on most Sundays. Their menu has lots of great choices and I have been happy with most everything I have tried.

The crab rangoons are really good to start with. The egg rolls are good too, but you only get two in the order, so I usually prefer something else. I also really like the potstickers.

For entrees I like the Teryaki (chicken or shrimp), Seasame Chicken and the curry dishes. I am not a big fan of the beef dishes I have tried. We usually get the Chicken Fried Rice too, but it could use a little salt and pepper.

Though we usually get take out, this restaurant is quaint and has good service. Happy to have it in the neighborhood!

Great Food. We love their food. The chicken and steak are so tender is is amazing. I love all the peanut dishes especially the peanut sauce curry with steak and the tofu with peanut sauce. Our son loves the "One night in Bangkok" and our daughter loves the lo main, fried rice, Mongolian beef and broccoli beef. My husband loves their yaki udon and their tonkatus.

Their udon and tonkatus is as good as what we had when we lived in Japan.

We have never dinned in so I can not say how their service is.

As for the take out service I have only had to wait one time for our food. That was because I ordered a lunch dish at dinner to try it. They were very kind to accommodate me.

We just found this place about 6 months ago. We were going to go eat sushi next door but it was crowded and so we tried Moon Gate and have ordered take out many times.

Decent but not worth it at all. All the reviews on this restaurant are old and inaccurate. So here's an updated one: I won't lie, this restaurant has some really good dishes, like the beef and broccoli, any of the tempuras, and the fried rice. However, none of these dishes are worth it. The dine-in service is slow and rude and the delivery is even worse. The waiters make you feel like you're a burden to them. Deliveries are no better. They're supposed to take around 30-45 minutes but usually take over an hour to arrive. If you absolutely must have their food, call in and pick it up. The teenage girl without the accent seems to be the only girl at that restaurant who knows how to be friendly and polite to customers. Picking up your food will save you time and the tip, plus getting your food faster means its fresher.

Appetizers A+. Moongate has the best appetizers around. We usually order 4 appetizers and 1-2 main dishes for our family of 5. The chicken has always been tasty and well cooked - although once the beef was undercooked. However, their appetizers are right on every time. Favorites include Edemame, Golden Tofu, Thai Spring Rolls & Pott Stickers. We usually order out - it's simply too cold in there for comfort during the winter.

Don't Waste Your Money. YUCK! I am in disbelief this place has as many positive reviews as it does! We dined here on a recommendation and even gave it a second chance with the hope our first bad experience was an "off" day. Both times the meat was super gamey - on the verge of foul - both the chicken and the beef. The service is horrendous and I found it slightly dirty - ick bathrooms. NOT WORTH THE HYPE! This place is trying desperately to be Thai Basil -- and they fail miserably. The Lowry area is seriosly lacking for good restaurants and Moon Gate only makes the situation worse. My husband will eat ANYTHING and even he won't step foot back in this place - that says a lot.

It's worth the drive to Thai Basil - but don't waste your time on this gross place. Trust me...

Good food but skip the delivery. I am from Las Vegas, therefore i am use to some of the best foods. The food was comparable to the Asia buffet in Las Vegas which is above average to good. The delivery was poor and rude....... he was actully wiping his nose when I answered the door then wined about the low tip I gave him. GET TAKE OUT. The food is worth the value and the service on the phone was very good. I feel somewhat sorry for the cook as he is doing a very good job but is in the shadows of such a poor server as in my books presentation is 50% of the meal otherwise I would be eating lean cuisine!!!!

Fire the delivery driver and I would rate it 8.5.

Folks line up for this tiny, hidden gem's delicious Asian food.. In Short
The restaurant is a delightfully modern room accented with bright colors, umbrellas, fish and a palm tree. Vietnamese, Chinese and Thai dishes are served in huge portions at reasonable prices. Start with crispy spring rolls, the edamame (soybeans), chicken satay (skewered cubes of marinated chicken) or crab Rangoon. Favorite Chinese entrees include the lo mein (boiled noodles with various stir-fried ingredients) and the lightly battered, fried whitefish fillets with black bean sauce.

Yum!. One of my favorite restaurants. The food is very fresh. The best Asian food I've found in Denver...possibly anywhere.

Best sesame chicken in Denver. Moongate is one of my favorite restaurants in Denver, with some of the best asian food to be found anywhere. The sesame chicken is superb, nevermind the skeptics who think you can get sesame chicken anywhere. The chicken is tender, the bread coating is light and crispy, and the sauce is spicy and flavorful. While the Pad Thai is, to be sure, not the best, the Chinese foods are superior. Also try the seaweed salad, if you would like to try a different treat. Don't expect that dry crispy seaweed though; its definitely different. Entrees are generously sized, and come with rice (or fried rice and an eggroll during lunch). The vegetables are nicely steamed and crispy, as is traditional. For dessert, try the red bean or green tea ice cream. Both are tasty, although not the best I've ever had. While the restaurant is definitely chilly during the winter, I don't understand why people have problems with the service. Like any place, service is slower the busier they are, and also like anywhere else, if you're polite, they'll be polite also.

Suggestions: Sesame chicken or tofu, any of the specialty dishes, but the Thai food isn't the best. Not bad, but not as outstanding as the rest of the food there. I love fried rice, so lunch is always nice, because dinner comes with fried rice, although if you ask nicely, they may make a change for you for dinner. Service isn't five star, but its nothing to complain about, and the food is superb. You can get many of the same dishes you can get at any Chinese restaurant, but the quality is much better, and I'm always happy to pay for quality...except at Moongate, you won't be paying extra. All in all, an A+ restaurant, which is well-suited to someone who likes good food, but doesn't want to spend the big bucks.

Try some of their unique plates. You guys need to stop having the same stuff you can find at every other asian place, try the moonharbor or other plates they have there you don't see everywhere else. Sesame chicken are you kidding me? That a Dime-a-Dozen.
