Best Bakery West of the Mississippi.
Growing up in Chicago one of the best memories I had were of the bakeries. Although I've been in Colorado for 40 plus years there hasn't been a bakery that WOW'ed me until we stumbled upon this one.
Although lacking my favourite Polish classics (kolochky and cherry nut bread) we were not disappointed. The strudel was a culinary version of heaven! The little nut rolls amazing.......everything we tried is brilliant!
This is what a bakery is all about - not a stupid cupcake in sight! YAY! We'll be back!
This Bakery will wow you!. We spend a Saturday afternoon sitting at this bakery's patio in Olde Town Arvada. We had a box of the most amazing delicious pastries. My sister got their nutcorner pastry which is a yummy german cookie with marzipan and my niece got the cutest marshmallow butterfly. The girl at the counter said these were homemade marshmellows and was she ever right. We are planning to spend more afternoons enjoying this bakery's goodies it's quite a treasure.
WORST GLUTEN FREE EVER!!!. This was the worst gluten free product I have ever tasted. Even my boyfriend who is used to eating gluten free because of me described the cake as tasting like eating hay! Yes. It was THAT BAD!!! We got a small gluten free chocolate cake just because I could eat it. It had absolutely no chocolate flavor whatsoever. My boyfriend and I each took one bite and looked at each other with disgusted faces. We then threw the rest of the cake away! I will never step foot in this bakery again and strongly discourage anyone from wasting their money on their gluten free products! Gross.
Their decorated cakes rock. We ordered our little boy's birthday cake from this bakery. The staff was superb in helping us get the right decorations. When we picked up the cake we were elated. They nailed the theme and it was so beautiful, truly a work of art. It tasted great too. We highly recommend getting a decorated cake from here.
Fabulous Wedding Cakes!. The moment you walk into this bakery there's someone friendly to welcome you. On Saturdays, they hand out generous pieces of their fantastic cakes just to try. That's how my fiance and I got to find the wedding cake of our dreams. Our wedding was last week at the First Slavic Church in Arvada. Not only did our cake, exceed our expectations in beauty, but our guests lined up for seconds. We should have gotten a bigger one. We highly recommend Rheinlander Bakery for their cakes and strudels. They have been in Arvada since 1963 and their staff is top notch. The lady that delivered our cake was so professional and made sure everything was perfect before she left. They made a small sugar free cake for my mother in law who's diabetic and small cakes for our close family to take with them. Arvada has a jewel here!
This is the Best Place for Gluten Free Desserts!. We have never had a better gluten free dessert than here and we have travelled all over the US and Europe. The selection alone will astound you. Try the chocolate cream cheese bar cakes and their lemon dreams are to die for. You will not be disappointed. We specialled order a gluten free, sugar free cake for my father in law and he just could not tell that it was "special", until I started eating it. The staff is knowledgeable and engaging. The breads are delicious too.
Not Edible.
We are gluten free and had heard that this bakery catered to those needs. We are used to the fact that gluten free foods sometimes taste and feel a little different, but have always managed to find alternatives that are very acceptable. Professional bakers who understand gluten free are able to create very good items. This is not true of Rheinlander Bakery, and our experience with them has been extremely dissappointing.
We ordered two pies for Christmas dinner and picked them up on Christmas eve. The pies were burned on the outside and soggy (not fully cooked) on the inside. We could not tell where the crust ended and the filling began - it was a strange tin full of mush. It was so bad that no one at our gathering could eat them - even the children took one bite and pushed their plates away. This was the worst food I have ever tried - no joke. We are not picky eaters, but these pies were good for nothing except the trash. We were charged $30.00 for these two pies. I can't believe they would seriously charge people money for this "food". We would never go here again.
mediocre bakery.
I went to the Reinlander Bakery with my parents. My parents love to go to Germany and the restaurants over there and order the great, fresh cakes an tarts they offer with a cup of coffee. I am a culinary arts graduate.
while we were in Denver, for a family trip, we found The Reinlander Bakery. we went to enjoy some German baked goods, but were very, very disappointed with the quality. the pastries tasted old and dry. the employees were friendly though, and the atmosphere was pleasant. but we are not going to go back.
yummy German chocolate cake. I had the best tasting German Chocolate for my birthday from this bakery. Layers of moist cake and rich coconut pecan filling that melts in your mouth. I thought I had them all, but this just topped the scales in awesomeness and yuminess
Best Gluten Free Bread. This bakery offers the best gluten free bread I have had since I was diagnosed 3 years ago. They even have gluten free hamburger buns and hot dog buns. They have multigrain, but the white is my absolute favorite. I had my first real sandwich, and it was heavenly. They make gf pizza too. My family who does not have to eat gluten free really enjoyed the delicious sticky buns. The service was extremely knowledgeable too and you cannot beat the wafting aroma.
