This course was at one time open only to military personnel because it was on the property owned by Lowry AFB in Aurora. Since that time, Lowry has closed and Mira Vista has opened its doors to the golfing public. The back nine features a lot of water and few trees, the front nine much narrower, tree-lined fairways. Many bunkers guard the small greens. Mira Vista is known locally as the "Home of the Four-Hour Round."

Good course for the mid-level player. Priced average for the public course with a decent 19th hole. Good for tournaments or company get together on the links. They work well with groups. A bit too strict on the marshaling of this course.

Know Before You Go:
No restrictions on public play. Children under 10 are not allowed except with the consent of the starter. Carts are not required, but the 90-degree cart rule is followed when used. Walking is allowed.
