normally have a great experience but last night the server over charged my credit card by $50! the manager didnt do anything to try to make it right
I was disappointed. I had the vodka sauce penne and it was disappointing, not enough flavor, kind of greasy/buttery. The flavor of the herbs and tomatoes was masked by heaviness of the oils. I can do better at home (although the pasta was perfectly cooked). My date has the chicken piccata which was much better. The prices are too high for what you get in terms of quality, ambiance, etc. And my personal pet peeve is when menus don't have drinks or prices so you don't know if your drink is $3 or $8 (which is nice to know when you're on a date and someone else is paying).
Wonderful Denver Eatery. We were driving around looking for a family friendly affordable place to eat and came across the Bent Noddle in Denver. We read some reviews on our phones prior to going in. We were blown away by the service, the hostess, waiters, and other staff were wonderful and attentive. The food was amazing and reasonably priced, especially considering our two children ate FREE. The alcohol was a little over priced a glass of wine was $4.00 and that was happy hour price (normally 6.50), but at least it was a full glass. We will definitely go back on our next trip to Denver.
For the price I think a Salad should come with the entree. I really love going to The Bent Noodle, but I always end up going someplace else, because for the prices I feel a salad or soup should come with the Entree. It ends up being over $20 bucks for one person to eat out at this place. Until things change I guess I will be going to another place.
Fly in my salad. My wife and I used to eat here regulary until I found a dead fly in my salad. I showed the waiter and he generously gave me a free salad? WTF! I feel I should have AT LEAST gotten my meal paid for! My wife should have gotten hers paid for also. Never been back. It seemed as if business was so good for them that I guess they felt that is all they were obligated to do. I have to say this has already been six years ago. Maybe they are better at treating their customers better when this kind of thing happens. I understand that every once in a great while these types of situations occur. My wife and I would have gone back if they would have paid for at least my dinner that night.
Best Italian Food in Aurora, CO.
My wife and I visit this fine restaurant twice a month for the past 4 years. This place is awesome, the food is always made perfect and if for some reason it isn't they will make it right. The chicken and the veal marsala is our favorites. The bread comes hot out of the oven to your table. A great selection of fine wine and resonably priced. I just wish they had a Sunday Brunch.
Tell Mark (The Meatball) that you read this review on City Seach. They also have an E-mail list that anounces specials which is a great feature.
At last a great Italian restaurant in Aurora with great atmosphere, excellent service and very clean from top to bottom.
Keep up the fantastic work Mark.
Thanks again
Love this restaurant!. My husband and I eat here quite often. We have always had excellent service and the food is wonderful! My favorite dish is the chicken marsala. You won't find chicken marsala made like this anywhere else. It is absolutely excellent. My husbands favorite is the Agle-o-lio. Best dish to order if you love lots of garlic! The bread they serve is homemade and severed straight from the oven and the salads are always fresh. I highly recommend The Bent Noodle for great food and great dining experience all around.
So-so on Service, Excellent food.... The Bent Noodle:a so-so experience. We were promply seated, which was acceptable. The waitress started strong however it was a front. Our waitress had no knowledge of the alcoholic drinks the bar had. I wanted a Malibu Sunrise and what I recieved was more like a rum Shriley Temple. We were asked our order fairly fast with our appitizers served in good time. THEN came the hour and a half wait to be served our entrees. It was a disappointment but with good company the entree wait was tolerable. The food was excellent, mouth watering, small portions but filling...20 minutes AFTER our plates were collected (at which our bill was requested) our bill finally arrived. It was pricy considering the whole experience. It was approx. $20 a person (entree and alcoholic drink). Bottem Line: A so-so restaruant on service...Great food. Just plan on spending some time waiting for your meal.
Editorial Review. Causal family-style dining with a variety of Italian dishes such as rock shrimp fritti, sausage lasagna, and linguini and clams.
Great food, good italian wine, fun place. This is a wonderful place to have a good meal with friends or family. Excellent food especially the shrimp diavolo and great appetizers. Good wine list that truly stocks up on Italian (not CA) wines. Atmoshere is lively but still good for conversation. I like this place because it is not a chain restaurant but still offers more than a mom & pop place but won't break the bank like the upscale Italian place. Management is very friendly and solicit your feedback. You don't get that at many places nowadays.
