LOVED this restaurant!!!. I'm confused when reading the previous reviews. My experience at this restaurant has ALWAYS been one worth sharing in a positive light. When you go to a steakhouse and purchase steak and lobster, you expect that it's going to be expensive. I've never had a problem with the food or service and the ambiance is wonderful. If you want a less inexpensive choice you can dine in the CABIN part of their restaurant. It has a livelier crowd and a piano guy that plays on the weekends as well as live bands, which are always great to listen to! I've never heard cheesy entertainment at this establishment. I give it 5 stars. Always pleasant and fun!
Not impressed!.
Went to have a special dinner here to celebrate. Was disappointed overall.
The Beef Carpaccio was great! The temperature of the prime rib was perfect, but wasn't impressed with the flavor (very bland). Onion rings & Fried shrimp were from frozen. Service seemed pretty good, until she got in the weeds. Just seems pricey for a mediocre meal.
I have had better meals at Red Lobster and Black Angus. For about 4th the price. The Summit needs to live up to their prices!
Won't go back!
Don't Waste Your Time.
I took my husband to Summit for his birthday and was sorely disappointed. We knew that it was quite pricey, but were shocked by the $85 price for a filet and lobster tail...and even more shocked when the food came out. Summit is your typical steakhouse - has done little in the past 20 years to update their decor or their menu. No presentation, no interesting dishes, wood paneling on the walls...
My husband had a ribeye, which you could taste the grease from the flat top. My fried shrimp could have come from Red Lobster. Even little things, like the mushrooms for the steak and the cocktail sauce - the mushrooms were drowning in oil and the cocktail sauce was basically ketchup. To top it off, our server barely paid us any attention and we waited for our dishes to be cleared for a good 20 minutes and then ended up having to request the bill.
Summit needs to step up their menu, their service and their atmosphere to have as steep of prices as they do. I do not recommend this restaurant.
01/14/2010 Went for a Birthday thinking something special. I knew from the online menu that this was going to be expensive, but I am shocked and completely regret going to this restaurant. My girlfriend ordered the 8 oz Filet and Lobster tail, the 8oz filet was a third the length of my 12 oz and about the same thickness, then the lobster was the same size as her steak......$85, My 12oz Ribeye was cooked very well but no flavor, only seasoning was cracked pepper on top, I was expecting something special for the price $31, all told we had one drink each (martini and rum and coke) two dinners, the summit sampler for appetizer and no sides and my tab was $177 with just a %15 tip. Ive had a better Ribeye everytime I go to Texas Roadhouse. The ambiance was nice and quiet with a candle for a bit more romantic atmosphere and the service was impeccable. But if you are looking for something special this is not it, plain steaks, regular boiled lobster with butter equals extremly overpriced and regrettable experience.
