best place for wings and things. I love this place, I have reconmended them to all my friends. I spy on all the men that I am with because I know there cheating on me. I have used my friends cars to hide and sneak anround. Alhough I have never caught any of the men I was with, I did falesify matters of the truth againest all to prove my inocents. My understanding is that I am a bi-polar bitch. Talking about a polar shitf, I am on the front line as an expert. Ask all my past and current husbans. They can’t handle the shift. I’ve lived with 6 men in in the past 9 yrs, so I know about how damaging a bi-polar shift can be. I will not be cheated on!
certainly worth visiting.
After reading some of the reviews for this place on this and other sites, I was a little skeptical. But I also had a wing aficionada tell me that these were the best wings in Denver. My grad school classmate and I have been on a quest to find the best wings in Denver since 2004, so we had to stop by this place.
They did not disappoint. The Ying yang wings are definitely in the running for the best I've ever had, and the Denver hot were above average too. And for 35 cents a wing during happy hour? Please. When I called to ask what time HH was, I spoke to Bobbi and she was very polite and helpful. I think our server's name was Sheila (?) She had really long blond hair and was very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I also loved the music, I was chair dancing to pretty much every song. This is definitely a place that I would recommend to my friends, and I'm salivating thinking about those ying yang wings as I type this.
Great on a lazy Tuesday evening!. I just moved to Aurora and have been making a point to sample new establishments. My boyfriend and I stopped in for dinner this evening. There was an annoying pop / rap radio station blaring through the speakers when we walked in. I looked around for a table away from the speakers, and there wasn't one. I was actually getting disappointed right off the bat. However, our waitress was fantastic. She was quick, catered to my picky needs (lol) and took great care of us. She even turned the annoying rap music down (and I didn't even have to ask her!). The food was pretty tasty. Decent for a corner bar & grill! They also had a great variety on the TVs. An Avalanche game, a classic car show & poker. All things I love! We actually had a really nice time tonight and I look forward to going back. It was reasonably priced, good variety of eats on the menu and a fun environment that I look forward to visiting again. Based on the other reviews, I am a little afraid to come back during peak hours. We'll see... hmmm.
Watch out for "BAR TIME". Worse service I have ever received. Ordered at 6:20, and was told that we had missed happy hour due to the bar setting their clocks 15 minutes earlier. I don't have a problem with this practice if it is posted for people to see. When my husband and I ask where the signs were posted, they had none. Spoke to the owner Betty Ownes the next day, and she was the most UN PROFESSIONAL person I have ever met. She paid us the difference in pennies, and ask us to leave, and never to return ( this was after we tried to talk to her about her staff). Pretty said, since my husband are professionals and know how to speak when trying to get an issue resolved. I will never eat there again (for I doubt she or her staff would recognize us), and urge other people to do the same.
sm1 should get a SERIOUS beatdown.
I got a lil story...one time I went to a bar about maybe 3 yrs ago, I had never been to said bar and was told they have great wings. I go with 2 friends that had been but not recently. I went to the bar an ordered a drink with my friends, the bar tender gave them drinks and not mine. he then told me he would not serve me due to the incident I caused on monday. I advised him I had never patronized the establishment and he instantly said i was lying and if i didn't leave right then he would call the cops. I was so shocked I couldn't say anything!he then told my friends he wouldn't serve them either and also had to leave or the police would be called! I split-becuase that aint cool, no manger or anyone else said anything but MIND you they checked my id to even enter this place in the first place.
doesn't stop yet friends. I was so heated after I came home that I decided to call and complain-only problem is I got the one on illif and they were great! the instantly applogized and started questioning employees. they called back within 5 min and said prob happend at the other Americas on chambers or they would comp me or somthing ( i have been to the illif one and GREAT wings!) so I called the other number and some shmo picked up, said mgr not in and automaticly hung up! i called right back and left a message on a voice mail demanding a call back. sum pud did call and said basicly too bad " we can refuse service to anyone" I said no sh*t man but is at a normal practice to refuse service to sm1 who has never been there b4 and make false claims? he said "well no but nothing I can do it's up to the bar tender". I wasn't drinking prior to entering americas so I know it wasn't that...either way I've had other people tell me things & I TELL EVRYONE THIS PLACE BITES, DON'T GO, DON'T DO IT!! GO TO SUBWAY or eat a rock cuz it ain't worth goin here man. If i could give negative stars right now I would. it happend years ago and still heats me up,! I signed up just to write this!
This location has absolutely horrible customer service.. I went into America's on a Friday night money in hand and couldn't spend a dollar at this location. I walked in and sat down and waited 20 minutes and nobody came to greet us or anything. So, I went to the bar to attempt to order some food. A male bartender said just wait at the table and someone will be there shortly. I waited another 10 minutes before a waitress showed up with more attitude than me, the customer who had to wait 30 minutes for service. Instead of these people saying hey we apologize for the delay, I was asked to leave. In my opinion, this place is overcrowded, underemployed, and very terrible with customer service. I am an honest, peaceful person, and this is the first and only experience I've had at America's.
BEST SERVICE. I HAVE BEEN GOING TO AMERICAS FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS AND I HAVE YET TO SEE BAD SERVICE. WHEN I GO THERE THE SERVERS AND THE MANAGEMENT ALL KNOW ME AND THEY GO OUT OF THERE WAY TO SAY HELLO. THE FOOD IS ALSO EXCELENT AND THE SERVICE IS GREAT. I RECOMEND THAT IF YOU ARE OUT ON THE TOWN AND WANT A GOOD TIME THEN GO TO AMERICAS.
Editorial Review. Lively sports bar offers plenty of space, ample viewing screens, pool tables and seven varieties of buffalo wings.
The customer is unimportant to this location, avoid this place after dark as the cliental gets scary.
As a regular patron I have seen a rapid decline in the level of service that Americas offers. We are usually taken very well care of but on two recent visits we have found the server and kitchen staff unaccomodating on simple requests such as the heating of a sandwich ( the oven are on already) and refusing to serve our son a glass of water at Happy hour. Refills on Soda are charged at .50 cents each too. We have decided that Americas does not need our money as we have been told in the past by managment " We don't need to stay open,We don't need the money" The servers at this location pull in at least $200 a shift in the summer, I have seen them throw a change tip over the fence saying they don't want quarters! A tip is a tip and based on the decline in service it may have been all that was deserved. It is sad because the day crew rocks and should be commended on the level of service they provide.
I go there only during the day and avoid both Happy Hour and the after dark crowds.
the wings are okay since they are only .19 cents during happy hour they are skinny and most times overcooked. You have to sneak your leftovers out at Happy hour because they offer no take home boxesas this is not allowed. Seems like they are contradicting themselves on many levels
I would think they would welcome the patrons that don't start fights and are gainfully employed. I guess we all have a different approach.
horrible service and you still get cahrged a tip if you don't leave one. This restaurant has the worst service and the waitstaff have a horrible attititude. I went on this past Sunday and I have to say i won't be back. When time had passed and we didn't receive our order (about 15 minutes) we tried to inquire the status of a staff member (our waitress was on the patio, taking a break, it seemed). The staff member first ignored us and then when calle don it, said that she would check with our serve. We saw her speak to her and then she walked back past us without letting us know anything. When we asked her again, she sent out waitress over who growled with an attiditude'it's chicken, it takes longer ot cook." We were not complaining, we just wanted to have an idea of how long it would be. She was rude, forgot a few wet naps and our chicken was terrible, overcooked actually. So I won't go to this location ever again. Quebec is way better. This isn't the first time the service has been awful, but it's definitely the last time I'm going.
