RENTER BEWARE!!!. A horrible company to deal with. Rented from them for 3 years. Hard to get repairs done and almost impossible to get any kind of service. Once had a repair completed when I wasn't home and they left the garage open with the house unlocked when they left!

After giving notice and ending the lease they continued to say "we are working on getting your deposit back". Then they stopped answering the phones, returning any calls or e-mails. Ended up suing them for the money, but as Kurt Barkman makes himself extremely unavailable and the staff lies about his where abouts it is very difficult to collect. His house has large dogs guarding the property and the police even have a hard time serving him documents.

Best to stay away. You don't even want to deal with the headaches... Kurt Barkman the owner has had is Real Estate Licensed revoked because of complaints and bad business practices.

Worst property managment company, they put slum in slum lord. Avoid this company at all costs. They expect people to be either to busy or lazy to sue them in court to get your deposit back. Even if you have visual (video & audio) recordings of them and the property and everything they will just threaten to call the cops on you if you stop in their office, or ignore you if you call or email them. Again avoid this company at all costs, they are the WORST managment company I have seen/used in my 40 years on this earth.

Horrible Company. In the 2 years that we rented from them we were never impressed. They don't care when something goes wrong with the house and needs to be repaired. It took 3 voicemails of me telling them we had water leaking from the bathroom into the basement before they called a plummer. I say 3 voicemails because they never answer the office phone when you call. We turned in our move-in checklist with a few things noted that we needed repaired. They completely ignored the list and never fixed anything. No use calling them over and over because they don't answer the phone. I even stopped by their office 2 different times thinking I could talk to them in person but both times there was a note on the door saying they were out of the office. I noticed the older reviews on here said nice things about the company, but today in 2011 it seems they oculd care less about their renters.

Shocking. If I could give "0" stars I would. If you are a property owner I don't think you could find a worse property manager. Several months in row where Kurt has deposited bad checks into our account. Then he never, ever returns phone calls. Says he is out with new clients and very busy... well if you are so damn busy that you can't take care of the clients you already have maybe you need to hire someone! Go somewhere else... don't waste your time... I know I have wasted more than enough time on their shocking (lack of) service.

Worst Management EVER! Rude and Incompetent!. Waited 9 months for incomplete job on window screens. That was about the best they ever did for me.Haven't spent a single day literally not waiting for maintenance issues to be resolved in 10 months of renting. Reception is rude and unwilling to accept any responsibility, prepare to be hung up on, I was. No accountability for their appalingly unaccaptable performance in every area. Never even completed or acknowledged our walk-through of the property to begin with, I'm sure they will use that when we move to steal our damage deposit. Dishonest, greedy, rude, condescending, incapable, incompetent and completely uncaring. If you want a heartless, irresponsible, bumbling fool to manage(mangle) your property here it is.

Friendly yet useless. If I ever got through to either Kurt or Christy, they were always very friendly and sounded helpful. It typically took a few calls to get through to someone. After one year some repairs were STILL not taken care of, nor had a repairman even shown up. The excuse was always they were very busy and would have someone come out as soon as they could. And after moving out it took WEEKS of daily phone calls and messages to get even one call returned.

They are willing to work with you which is a definite plus, but good luck getting a hold of them to talk about it!

What the world needs now!!!. We (our family) has been going through alot of trials and tribulations lately and when we need something and we call Christy she is always so nice and understandin with us, she genuinely is concerned and that is what alot of companies lack these days. 99% of the time it is well all about the $ but when people are willing to work with others on what makes the world go round what a difference it makes. Thank you Christy and the Whole Barkman Team. Your company will continue to grow and be very successful!!! From a very Greatful Family

rentals for most everyone. more-than-fair prices combined with outstanding customer service make barkman stand out above other residential housing. what the housing lacks compared to more modern developments this company more than makes up for with their attention to personal detail and willingness to see past your economic background. i have lived in three rentals from these people and they have worked with me every step of the way. some customers just need a little extra attention and barkman doesn't hesitate to listen.

Best people to work with and to rent from!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I have been renting from Barkman for about 4 years now,and they are the best ! People sometimes go through hard times, and they under stand.It's not like they're ready to kick out when your down, they are there when you need to talk , Kristy is my friend I feel as If I can talk to her at any time , you don't find that in all company's that you rent from. Some other company's just want to say ,OK its the first of the month where is are money? Not Kristy, or Kirk they are the best. So when your looking for the best forget the rest go with Barkman .

Great help on looking for an apartment. These people do care and are willing to help out as much as possible! They are very friendly and very prompt to an apartment site!
