Armando's in Aurora moved to a new location in the fall, and I have to say that it just isn't the same. They've gone "uptown" with a newer, fancier look. The home family atmosphere is gone, the waiters don't have time to be friendly anymore, it's noisier - it's just not the same. The food even tastes different.

It's like losing an old friend. Sad to say we'll no longer be having dinner with Armando's once or twice a month like we used too.

Sad.

Hostile Owner Doesn't Care About His Customers!!!. I ordered and came exactly when they said it would be ready (a full 40 mins later) . When I arrived they said the order wasn't in their system. They questioned if I ordered at their location. I have a smart phone and showed them the number I dialed 40 mins earlier. They said I could sit and the bar and have a beer on them and wait 20 mins for my order. I told them this was unsatisfactory. I asked to see Armando. Armando, the owner, came out furious and exclaimed, "We're a family owned franchise not a chain and we don't give out free food!!!" I told him I didn't want him to give anything away free. I just wanted a percentage taken off my order for the inconvenience he caused me. He actually said "FORGET IT!" I told him I would report him and he said, "GO AHEAD!" Clearly this guy doesn't understand customer service. He also doesn't understand the whole situation was his mistake. I'm completely appalled! Seriously, there are other restaurants - avoid this one!!!

Italian food. I went these yesterday, I waited 45 min to get my food, and frankly it wasn't worth the wait neither the $20 that I paid

Had to do it.... Sorry, but of all the Italian restaurants here, Armando's is the BEST. I've tried 95% of them, and sorry to say, "Mama Alvino's" is not even in the top 10. Nice try, "Triple D"... It is obvious you either work there, or have stock in it. LOL

I didn't want to post this review, but I had to do it.

Both Armando's restaurants are family owned and operated. Like I said before, I'm through searching for the 'perfect' Italian restaurant.

Armando's is where I want to be...

You come in as a customer, leave as family. That's the way it should be.

They care about your experience.

Armando's wants you back, not because they need the money...because they love what they do!

A Real Restaurant!!. I have been to Armando's countless times over the past seventeen years; I'm seventeen years old. I've always thought of this place as a safe haven, a mom and pop restaurant with a real owner in the middle of a fake, suburban landscape. However, I never noticed just how fantastic this restaurant was until I visited Germany a couple years ago and went to some Italian restaurants owned by first-generation Italian immigrants. The food at Armando's is just as good as the food I had in Europe and the atmosphere is much the same. It's a little loud, but it's a joyous place, so what's wrong with that? The owner runs the restaurant like a city restaurant and the wait-staff is always kind and courteous. Yes, it takes more than two minutes to get your food, but when you get it, you're getting a little piece of Italy. If you don't think the chefs are working hard enough, go take a peek into the kitchen and you'll change your mind. I'll be heading off to college after this school year and there aren't many things that I'll miss about Aurora, but I certainly will miss Armando's.
