Tips for Checkpoint Automotive

April 25, 2013

These guys will take care of you (and your cars.)

Brought in a Ford Explorer and a Hyundai Sonata and they did a great job of looking over the cars and only doing the work that was required. The best part was that they went over and above what I expected and usually receive as far as customer service. They walked me through all the work they did and gave me their opinion about condition, cost, necessity and helped me understand what was happening with my autos.

I'll go back. Feel free to shop around and you might find some of the chain stores with lower prices but you won't receive the kind of service and dedication (and expert knowledge) that you'll receive from Larry, Dean and Dan.

Thanks again.

This is one of the best shops that i ever been to. There reliable honest and true about there service. They look at my car and reccomend fixes that I would need right now or in the future. I would trust them with my car before any dealerships or any other lube and oil shops. Also there staff is really nice and respectful to me everytime that i go in and get my car serviced. i would reccomend this shop to anybody that needs there car fixed

Miss diagnosed which cost me $1500. First of all I do believe it's a good shop overall. They treated me well except the they replaced a lot of stuff that didn't need to be replaced which cost me $1500 of money that did not need to be spent.

The KNN airflow system became lose and disconnected to the mass airflow sensor. The engine just shuts down because the computer becomes confused thinking it does not have air. All it takes is to reattach the airflow system - just a clamp. I did not know these were disconnected because I was not under the hood or with the vehicle when it died.

Anyway, instead of just reattaching the airflow AND THEN testing it, the tested it with the airflow detached.

I have had two other repairs since then but went to other shops because my trust is shot in them.

I emailed with my complaint and got not one call back. It's one thing to make a mistake but another to not care.

Saved me Money. I knew I needed brakes, and they did a brake replacement in a few hours. They also found a couple minor issues which were going to become major, and resolved them before I got stuck on the road somewhere. They ended up saving me a lot of money in the long run. Thanks for all your help.

Great Shuttle Service. The shuttle service was definitely a plus when I came here. I dropped off my car before work and the shuttle then took me to my office. It's a very convenient service especially if you like me and have no one that can pick up or drop you off. My car was finished by the time I got off work and the guys working there were so nice. I appreciate everything you guys do.

Quick. My car finally got old enough to start needing to smog it. I took it to Checkpoint Auto and they were quick and affordable. Luckily my car passed but I will definitely be taking it back next time.

Piece of mind. I took my car to Checkpoint Auto after finding some great coupons on Valpak Needed to get some brake work done and went ahead with the tune-up oil change for my own piece of mind. I dealt with Dean and felt that he was professional and informed me of what he would be doing with my car.

Reasonable. My poor Honda is starting to have some elder car age problems. I do admit that it has been sitting for a minute but it had been running fine. Then on the Friday it started feeling like it was gonna stall on the freeway, kinda like a sputter or a skip. I had no idea what was going on, so I called Checkpoint Auto and they said to bring the car in. I needed a new fuel filter but I decided to go ahead and do the whole tune up. The cost for parts and service was absolutely reasonable and it was a quick diagnosis and fix

Smooth Sailing. I started noticing when I would brake that my whole car would shake uncontrollably, it was getting pretty bad so I took it into Checkpoint where I have been going for awhile, they did a complete check and fixed everything, now its like smooth sailing no shaking what so ever, thank you so much.
