My brakes were slipping and I took my maxima to Brakes Plus - they quoted me $900 worth of work - front and back pads, calipers, front axle
- the whole thing. They couldn't find my file and didn't realize that I had had everything done less than two years ago at another BP.
Needless to say I took it to Joe's per a rec from a co-worker. Her dad has been friends with Joe forever and he has been their family mechanic for years. He was very nice, offered to run everything by my mechanic in Iowa (a trusted friend) and replaced one caliper (BP tells you they have to be done in sets), a master cylinder, flush out, three or four bolts (mine were missing!) for less than $350.
It is hard to find an honest mechanic and this guy is the real deal. It is worth the drive to see him.
