Best Steak In Denver. Two weeks ago my husband and I joined some friends at Luke's a Steak Place. As it turned out it was the 20th anniversary of the restaurant! While we have been long-time customers of this great restaurant, we weren't prepared for that evening. All guests were given complimentary samples from the new appetizer menu. The sliders were incredible, and I could have easily made a meal on those alone! As usual, the food and service were great. We love going to Luke's. The servers are well trained and no how to provide great service without being intrusive. If you haven't been in -- Try it. We love it.
Superb!. Great food! Now this is what prime grade beef is supposed to be; Tender, aged and succulent. Service was fantastic. Nice pace to the meal, never felt rushed. We started with an order of Crab Cakes that were "heavenly" as described by the wife. Next I had the house salad and she had a wedge salad. Both salads were very good. For our main course, I had the 20oz Porterhouse, wife had the 8 oz filet, both were mouthwatering and cooked perfectly. Easily the most tender, flavorful, delicious steak I've EVER eaten. We finished up with a Chocolate Raspberry for our anniversary. What’s not to love? Top notch food & drink. Top notch staff. Top notch experience. Highly recommended!
Everything wrong. We took our son and his wife to Lukes as a thank you to them. Bread arrived promply with warm plates Things went down hill from there. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar are now placed on the table, however, our olive oil container was emply and very oily to pick up. Finally got the attention of the waitress and she replenished the oil (still oil on outside of bottle). The salad arrived, we all served ourselves and realized it was dry with absolutely no salad dressing. Again hailed the waitress, she brought salad dressing. The steaks arrived. Our son had ordered the 13 oz filet cooked medium. It was rare-very rare. Hailed the waitress, she returned it to kitchen. the steak was then returned to table still very rare. Sent the steak back again, but only after our son cut it into pieces. It was returned to him, but not very good. My husbands asparagus was huge and tasteless. The owner came around and asked how things were and we told him. His explanation was they would have to open the other kitchen when they were busy. No apologies were extended. We have dined at Luke's fairly often, but it is now off of our list. Could have gone to Outback for much less money and undoubtedly a better meal.
dont waste your time or money. wish there was a no star rating. my girlfriend took me there for my birthday on a recommendation from a client of hers. it was not good at all. food was way overpriced. i dont mind dropping $40-$50 for a really good steak, which the steaks here were only $38, but they were overcooked and very bland. the asparagus was soggy, the potatoes were hard. the server wasn't ever there to check on us, even though there were only 3 other guests besides us the whole time we were there. i was carded for drinks, but not wished a happy birthday. when a manager came near the end of our meal to ask how it was, we said it was kinda bland. she said "really? sorry" and walked away. we were never thanked for coming, nor was there a "good bye". i called and asked for a manager after leaving, and she said she would talk to the owner and call me back tuesday. it's wednesday and i just called. the owner answered the phone and just said there was nothing he was going to do for me. i asked why he couldn't even call, and he just reiterated that he wasn't going to do anything. we spent over $100 for the two of us, and it was supposed to be a special occasion. i've never had a worse experience at a steak place in my life, texas roadhouse and the like included. go anywhere else but there.
Best bartender in denver. Sat at the bar and had the kabobs amazing food always really good; the bartender was very good looking and made an awsome cosmo. Mike the owner always says hello, the ambiance is relaxed and casual; nice place to relax have a good meal and chat with a hot bartender.
Anxious for us to leave!. We were asked to leave by an old gray haired gentleman because they needed our table! We just speak over a $100 on a dinner and they asked us to leave?? what is that about!

Overpriced, overcooked, and overly greasy.
I can do better with a supermarket steak on my grill.
Mrs. & Mr. Weisman.
My husband and I really enjoyed the steak and salmon at Luke's. The steaks were aged and cooked to our liking. The salmon was moist. We also had the garlic appetizer. Yummy!
The salad was crispy and fresh, we really liked the Italian dressing.
Overall, we will come back for the food.
Poor Value. The food was very expensive considering the overall quality of the food and the lack of ambiance. You can get a better steak at Outback or Bennetts for much less. The seating is open and not very comfortable. The smoking section and non-smoking section are barely separated and the smell of someone else's cigarette smoke did not enhance my meal. If I could buy a steak here for $15 instead of $24, it would be more in line with the quality and ambiance.
