Lousy service for groups.
After making reservations for an academy graduation party of 20 over a week in advance for their quieter "pool room", they called me only two hours before to tell me that the owner gave the room to another group and we would be seated in the very noisy, main dining area. At that point, I had no other option but to agree. We ended up with only ONE server to SHARE with other tables, making for inexcusable service and a dinner that took us over 2 1/2 hours to eat without even ordering appetizers or desert!!! It was almost an hour before our server even took our dinner order!
As for my grilled chicken dinner, it was among the worst dinners that I've ever had. It was grossly overcooked and dried out.
For a restaurant that assured me that they are very much able to host groups much larger than our 20, they completely failed and embarrassed me in front of our many out of state guests.
This was the first and last time that I'll ever consider or recommend this restaurant to anyone that I care about.
Great Beer, Great Food. Great place for a relaxed meeting, or just to kick back and have an afternoon beer! The Spinach Artichoke beer is to die for. The service is great, and you always see a familiar face.
food is good, service is not. I've eaten at the Rockyard many times - and it is good for being one of the few games in town - their beers are good, their food is really good, but their service is lacking and inconsistent. I've been their with friends and have had nice, friendly servers. I've also been to the Rockyard and have had overly annoying, intrusive servers. I've also tried calling to put in to-go orders within a span of a year, and have been transferred to the bar and left on hold for 10 minutes, or, on other occasions, kept getting hung up on. For that reason alone, I will tell everyone I know that they should try going to the Fowl Line - finally another alternative to a sports bar in Castle Rock.
Castle Rock brewpub offers good food and great beer..
In Short
The restaurant's spacious, mountain house setting has tons of room and is perfect for handling crowds from the outlet shops down the street. The meals are consistently good. Daily special entrees are grade-A, so are the cuts of beef and house soups. Flame-broiled burgers hit the spot and come with genuine, hand-made onion rings. The beers include Wildcat White purring with Belgian charm and Bullseye Brown, offering a sticky-sweet syrupy body.
Best Amber I've had. Good food and service, great brew!!! I've been all over the country and the Redhawk is the best Amber I've had!!!
