Disreguard Foxgolf's Review. Del Frisco's Double Eagle sets the standard and they set it high. This is a fine dining steak house. If you are a vegitarian don't discredit them just because they don't cater to someone who eats against their biological makeup. We are all carnivores and Del Frisco's sets the stage to fill our deepest needs for meat. If you are a vegitarian or don't appreciate fine aged red meat then you shouldn't go. This is what they do and they do it very well.
Bad experience.
It is clear from the minute you walk into this establishment that it is a high end restaurant. You would expect excellent service from such an establishment. While that may be true for your average meat eater, try being a vegetarian (vegan) out with a group of people looking for a great meal and visiting this place.
I regularly eat in high end restaurants in different countries around the world and do not worry about being a vegetarian as it is normal that they will conjure up some great meal that meets my dietary needs. Most of the time the meal I get is not on the menu. Not so here. I felt like a second class citizen forced to eat off the side menu. Even after selecting a baked potatoe and asparagus as my meal it turned up soaked in butter!
The attitude adopted by the staff in this restaurant was that of arrogance. The provide service on their terms and not on that of the client. The whole experience was destoyed by this attitude.
Incredible place for a elegant and romantic steak dinner.
I previously read reviews listed on CitySearch and some of them were not so favorable. I had eaten at Del Frisco's in the past and it had aways been wonderful. I wondered if my favorite restaurant had slipped. Thankfully my experience last Saturday was wonderful. I took my fiancee there for dinner and she loved it. If you want a steak dinner with no frills then I would not suggest going to Del Frisco's!! Even though it is one of my favorite restaurants it is flat out expensive!!
I would suggest making reservations for an early dinner right when they open at 5:00 pm that way you can avoid some of the crowd that always is inevitable from dining there. Next if you are going for a romantic dinner I would suggest when making reservations that you ask to be seated in dining room with a fireplace it adds another romantic touch.
The Pineapple Martinis are the way to go for your cocktail pleasure (Pineapples soaked in vodka and then pureed). They are wonderfully delicious but will set you back about $11.00 a piece. Appetizers are pretty pricey but I recommend the Shrimp Remoulade which consists of jumbo shrimp with the option of three different sauces (cocktail, garlic butter, and cajun). The cajun sauce is my favorite it is slightly spicy and creamy I would love the sauce on a salad as well. We enjoyed the Prime Strip for two but I have had the Filet Mignon and Prime Rib which were all good. The sides are served family style ranging from ($5.00 - 9.00) and you could have three to four people eating off on one side. My side suggestions are the angel hair pasta and chateau potatoes. Finally for dessert I would suggest the Del's Delight which is vanilla bean haagen dazs ice cream blended with a bailey's irish cream and amaretto...it is a delicious ice creat treat!! My server was very attentive and helpful througout the meal answering my fiancee's questions about the meal. My dining experience was incredible and would recommend every time!!
Atmosphere is all you get at Del Frisco's...less than average steaks and meals cost of a meal WAY over priced. In the last four times we have eaten at Del Frisco's, either I or 2 of our other parties have gotten ill. I have had a better steak at Texas Roadhouse...meals are not what I would consider outstanding but the prices are!!! To HIGH for what you are getting....you are paying for Atmosphere and anymore I would rather have and a meal I would rave about...Will find somewhere else to go....
Best Steakhouse in the US. I have been to some of the best steakhouse's throughout the country and Del Frisco's is by far the best one I have ever eaten at.
Traditional excellence and exquisite service make this steakhouse a top choice for power diners..
In Short
Sharply dressed business people, old-fashioned cowboys and sports celebrities feast side by side. Dark wood dominates several intimate dining rooms. Del Frisco's prides itself on hand-cut aged prime beef, Australian lobster tails, creamy salad dressings and homemade desserts. Entrees feature huge cuts of beef on plates hot enough to overcook the meat. The tastiest choices are the tender filet mignon or seafood. Finish with dense, rich cheesecake or strawberries Romanov.
EXCELLENT!. Filet was one of the best I'd ever had. Waiter was superb. Nice atmosphere. Definitely a fine dining experience.
A Valentine's Day To Remember.
I've dined at Del Frisco's before and wanted to treat my girlfriend to a great evening at this well known GWV spot. Made late reservations (9:00pm) knowing the place would be packed and sure enough we arrived to a full house running 30 minutes behind. Being Valentine's Day this Hallmark holiday was hopping so we grabed a drink at the bar. Sooner than we expected we were sat and told by our waitress we were her last table for the evening and to take our time. Ordered a perfecly cooked Ribeye followed by the filet ordered by my lady which was great.
After two hours of conversation, mellow atmosphere and a slowing crowed (didn't leave until 11:30pm) our waitress was on the spot with a great dessert reccommendation.
Looking for steak, head to Outback. Looking for a true dining experience make it Del Frisco's.
Nobody does it better!!!!!!!!!!1. I have brought my friends here over the years and have even visited in NY. There steak is top of the line, there staff always friendly and fun, and cant beat a good cigar and drink after. Im trying to talk my friend Lindsey and her Fiance' into coming here.
Del Frisco's.
I went to Del Frisco's Double Eagle as a part of a group of five while on a business trip to Colorado. The food, service, atmosphere were excellent. If you choose to dine here, which I highly recommend, be prepared to spend $$$. Pricing Example: $90 18 oz. Austrailian Lobster (HUGE!), $35 Rib Eye (Excellent), $40 Filet Mignon. All side dishes are a la carte.
If you are a smoker, check out the cigar lounge. Excellent.
