swim outdoors in the winter!. Greenwood is great! I think it's the only club around with an outdoor pool open year round! I love swimming while it's snowing - super fun! I joined the Masters team there and Jorge writes great workouts! I love going to practice at 11:00am on Tuesday and Thursday knowing I'll get a good workout outdoors.

I also love hot yoga and they are about to open what looks to be a HUGE yoga studio with all the bells and whistles. I'm definitely looking forward to that. I heard they hired a 'yoga manager' to be in charge so us yogis can communicate direclty with him.

I spin on a regular basis as well and they just updated the spin room so we can have videos during class - great! It's fun to get motivated on the spin bike while you are watching a triathlon, mountain bikers, or skiiers. I tend to go to the same classes each week, and the instructors are great.

The staff is friendly and most of them greet me by name when I come in, the outdoor pool deck in the summer is great, it's like lounging at a resort. I don't have kids yet, but when I do, I'll be sure to put them in swim lessons there. I've watched their swim instructors and they sure know what they're doing! My friends daughter has made great progress in the program there.

It's a great club!  View Less

Not impressed at all.... I have not been impressed one bit by the club. The service is the exact same as a 24hr or Lifetime, but for 3x the price. Most of the "genuine" smiles we get are from the cleaning crew. The weight room is small and cluttered and the music is even worse. I've seen only 2 new pieces of equipment in the weight room in 3 years, and one of them is always broken! The gym floor is old and doesn't bounce, the weightroom floor is torn-up and bubbling up, an old and outdated drinking fountain nearly cut me... on and on...

The customer service is nothing special. The club communication is terrible. The employees are great and friendly except for always complaining about management. The trainers and desk people are too busy laughing, cussing, and being outrageously loud to notice or help an elderly man in need. Most of the members are also great and friendly, but are now also starting to complain about club workings...

They are constantly remodeling, which is what did us in. The cardio room underwent a remodel that made it worse. Putting members through a month long remodel to only have it turn out worse than before is not something I'm willing to deal with...or pay for.

There are better options for lower prices out there for myself and family.  View Less

The Best and the Biggest Gym in the Denver Area. Greenwood Athletic and Tennis Club is my favorite health club! They have over 117 classes per week and they are included with membership from Hatha Yoga to Hot Yoga, Pilates Style Mat Class, BodyPump, Cycling, Kick-Boxing, Bosu classes and even Hip Hop! Then when you walk into the weight room, you won't believe the size of it --it's the biggest gym in the area, they have everything from Cybex to FreeMotion and Hammerstrength, plus plenty of dumbbells. Then they have two cardio areas, one with integrated TVs so you can watch anything you want. Finally they have so many Step-Mills, elliptical machines, treadmills, bikes, rowers and arc-trainers that you never have to wait. Even more they have four pools! They have two 25-meter lap pools that are open all year round, a kids' pool with slide and spray features, and a pool for adults with a waterfall. To top it off they have 5 outdoor hard courts and 7 indoor clay courts, an indoor basketball court, racquetball and squash, martial arts and boxing. The cutest part is the kids' club, the kids are always busy coloring, playing basketball, or playing dance-dance revolution. The locker rooms are great, plenty of towels are included, and there is no need to bring a lock, plus they have steam, sauna and a whirlpool. Going to Greenwood Athletic Club is really the best part of my day!  View Less View More
