Great Sports Bar!!!. What a perfect Happy Hour spot! We go in after work sometimes and there are great specials. There is lots of space and TONS of TV's with all sorts of sports on. I think this will be a perfect place come football season. This is also a perfect place to meet before a concert at Fiddler's. Highly recommend!
MUCH Better than The Grand SLAM!!!.
JD's Rocks!
MUCH Better than The Grand SLAM!!!
has everything
Have been out in the Tech Center for years, JD's Bait Shop is by far, and I mean far, better than the Grand Slam across the street. All of the staff, Bartenders, are Waitresses are friendly and always dropping by and checking in... and they are clean. The Grand Slam's staff, bartenders, and waitresses are GROSS...tattoos everywhere, nasty, and their service SUCKS...and this is with the new owners. The clientele that comes in hasn't changed either, they are a little on the gross side too.
GO TO JD'S or The Dam Grill (owned by the same people) they know how to run a bar!
BTW the bargirl who wrote the great review about the Grand Slam..she works there.
Looks like they read this stuff.
I read the review that warned of the bad smell. I was ready to turn around if it was too bad....because I had a date. But when we walked in I smelled nothing but maybe a little disinfectant and food. They must have really cleaned up..smelled a little like walking into a dentists office. Hummm. But the main smell was food...smelled good....clean. Too clean for the look...you would expect beer and smoke from the rustic look. I liked it... a good sports bar...maybe a little dark. The mirros in the back made it look much bigger.
We found a pool table in the corner and were greeted within 2 minutes. Drinks...and two minutes later back with beer(...pitcher of Sam Adams for somewhere around $12), and the appetizer order. I had wings....they are breaded and nice and spicy. They didn't have the no breading option.
The waitress came back several times during our visit to check on us. Was friendly and attentive.
We we there on a Wednesday from about 5:30 to 7. Not too crowded, but enough people so you didn't feel like laughing would draw attention.
I'll be going back.
I LOVE THIS BAR!. JDS. HOME AWAY FROM HOME. I STOP IN EVERY NIGHT AFTER WORK FOR A FEW BEERS. I HAVE FELT WELCOME SINCE I FIRST STEPPED IN THE DOOR. BEAUTIFUL FRIENDLY WAITRESSES AND BAR TENDERS. MANAGERS AND BOUNCER ARE GREAT AND FRIENDLY AND TAKE CARE OF SITUATIONS WHEN NEEDED...ALTHOUGH THERE ARENT TOO MANY SITUATIONS TO BE HANDLED. MY BEER ARRIVES AT MY TABLE ABOUT 30 SECONDS AFTER I SIT DOWN...I GUESS THAT COMES WITH BEING A REGULAR, HOWEVER EVEN MY FIRST DAY I WAS PROMPLTLY GREETED. I LOVE THIS BAR. ITS JUST LIKE THE SONG.
You need sports? This is the place!. Best sports bar in colorado! Good prompt waitresses, and it doesnt hurt that thier good looking! Plenty of tvs. All sport packages. for the food. Its not bad. They have some great sandwiches, and good burgers. Yes, it is bar food, But is not the bar food you would expect.
A handsome hangout filled with TVs, games and great pub grub..
In Short
The tinted front door makes it difficult to detect whether the place is even open, but once inside, you'll find a large, high-tech room with an expansive bar and tables big enough to seat a herd of sumo wrestlers. This sports bar features no less than 20 TVs, four pool tables, two dart boards, and pinball and video games, plus it serves tasty pub fare, including burgers, sandwiches, and baskets of piping-hot catfish with fries.
Good place down south. For a bar down south this has to be one of the best. Its a nice relaxed environment and everyone is friendly. Taxi cabs come to this area too if you happen to drink to much you won't be stuck there waiting on the never showing taxi. Food is okay. Not horrible for bar food. Happy hour has 7 buck pitchers.
the milks gone bad. This used to be a good bar, but now the service is slow, the crowd never changes and the waitress takes 20 minutes to greet you. I have went back a few times thinking the service would get better but i have been let down too many times now.
This is the place!!!.
This is the Cheers of southeast Denver. Almost all of the employees and many of the customers have been there for years.
Somewhat politically incorrect, this place is very laid back about any rules except for excessive drinking. Very spacious and adorned with TV's everywhere, you have lots of elbow room and stuff to do.
Prices are reasonable, service is friendly. and 500 gallons of aquariums are there to relax you.
JD's Rocks. JD's has great service and food. My reason for being a regular is the atmosphere around the pool tables. I've met lots of friends and had lots of great memories.
