Denvers Best Sushi!!!.
We have been happy and loyal customers for years! This place rocks and the food is top quality!
The sushi is excellent and with the all you can eat experience, it’s the best kept VALUE in all of Denver.
The owner Dana works so hard to make your experience a memorable night that you will enjoy again and again.
We love the unlimited appetizers and of course they pour a 2 for 1 large glass of wine, beer or sake all day long.
Our favorite waitress is Tahoe (sounds like Tao) or her sister Ashley.
She is always pleasant and her smile is a welcome and warm sight every time we walk thru the door. Service galore!
You need to be patient and enjoy the total experience. If you want to wolf down food quickly...then this is not the place for you. Relax. Enjoy the 2 for 1's and great sushi...and don’t forget to try the massive cheese cake or gourmet deserts!
We will be fans forever!! Thank you!!!
Worst Service in the Denver Area. I have been going to the Samurai for over 10 years now and the service since they started the all you can eat Sushi has gone downhill fast. We ate there on Sunday, April 11 and one of our guest ordered the all you can eat sushi. His first order of 6 rolls took over an hour to arrive and his second order never arrived. Two hours after being seated, we asked if he could get his order to go and were told that was no problem. We waited another 30 minutes and of course no food arrived at the table. We had now been at the restaurant for almost 3 hours and it was time to go. We told the server to just cancel the order. Our dishes remained on the table the entire meal and not once did anyone offer to clear the table. On our way out we heard several people complaining about the service and I guess we were not the only table having problems. I wrote to the management at the Samurai and I never received a reply. So much for customer service.
Good Food, WORST WORST service EVER!.
We used to go to this place a lot. We always had problems with the way waitresses react.
They are a bunch of very rude people who do not care for the business at all.
We went there last saturday and the restaurant was full. There were 2 tables available though. After about 20 min of waiting some one came to us and had us seated...we sat and waited another 10 min for some one to ask us what we want to drink(it is not the worst part yet)
Since we wanted the all you can eat sushi menu, we ordered what we wanted at 5:45 and we got a part of it at 6:45 while we were still waiting for the other part of our menu to get prepared at 7:30 we still had nothing to eat. We were at our table starring at other people complaining about the time factor.
Finally my husband, who is such a patient guy, decided to ask the people about our food...he told them that we have lost our appetite and are about to lose our mood as well...Here's what she answered with a loud vice:
" Once you see the restaurant is this busy, you can decide not to stay at the very first place!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
OMG!!!!!! I decided to speak up and told her that I want to see the manager. She did not care at all.
I told her that we are paying for what we eat and we are not guest and she left.
We waited for the manager and to my surprise manager was one of the impolite girls!...she came to us and just said sorry...let's see what I can do....she left and brought us 2 very strange cookies!!!!!!!!!
We left the place paying full amount of our bill and not having what we went for with a very bad mood for saturday night.
Paying 50 bucks to be treated like that? We will not go there any more even though the food is good.
I mean who cares for the good food when it is served with a LONG delay and bad temper.
Excellent FOOD & EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE. I went to Sushi Samurai 3 times. The first time, I ended up walking out because my friend and I had been waiting to be greeted for over 15 min by a hostess and she kept walking by and ignoring the line of 6+ people behind us. The second time, the waiter was unfriendly and mumbled his answers and we had to get up and ask for the bill. We didn't order that much food and it took over an hour for 2 people to eat when the place wasn't that busy. The third time, I went there for a happy hour lunch with m best friend. We told the waiter we were in a hurry and yet he was still slow with the food and the bill we barley made it back to work in time. The service makes me not want to go back, but the food is awesome! I hope the owner reads this.
Great food, Service was awful.
Service was horrific. Waited (at lunch) over an HOUR just to GET our food. Some at the table never got theirs.
The ENTIRE waitstaff could care less.
They all share tips, so they don't care if they work hard or not at all, it all gets split up at shifts end.
Imagine you have in-laws that cannot stand you, and care less about your needs..... put them in goth wait staff clothery and they are there, .....waiting for you at Samurai Sushi...
Probably the Best Night Ever?. You must order the ?Neo Sashimi Wrap?, ?Sashimi Half moon?, and the ?Peacock Roll?. They are 3 (sort-of expensive) specialty rolls that will knock your socks off. The sushi last night was sooo awesome that my husband and I couldn?t even fight over our ruined and dwindling marriage. Samurai?s commitment to quality and service is outstanding. The sushi was so incredible I never once thought about how much I hated or was disgusted with the man sitting across from me. I?ve been going to Samurai for over 10 years and they never cease to please me every time. No matter where I live in Denver I will always go out of my way to eat at Samurai. I?m claiming Samurai in my divorce papers.
OMG I LOVE SAMURAI!. Let's see where to start! I am a very avid sushi eater, growing up in NYC I know what it means to have great tasting and FRESH food! Samurai exceeded my expectations from the beginning! The exterior of the restaurant definitely does not do it justice! When I was walking towards the entrance I though to myself ?this place looks like a whole in the wall? but the minute I walked in it was completely stylish then I expected. It has a very homey feeling to it! The FOOD WAS AMAZING! I left it up to the waitress to surprise me, and I?ve never had sushi as good as it was here! All the tastes were so BOLD and every flavor complimented each other! The staff was like family and their sake list was phenomenal (Especially the dessert Apple sake!). I?ve been going there ever since!
Top 5 Sushi restaurant in Denver. This is one of my favorite Sushi places. Ive been to 20 different sushi joints in Denver, and by far, this is above many. This is definately in my top 5, and I consider myself a sushi connoisseur. They have a specific nigiri dish here that is not served anywhere else. It's a tofu pocket (inari) with salmon and crab w/ mayo in it. Definitely one of my favorites here. They also have excellent hand rolls here during happy hour. My favorite is the spicy california roll. We obviously know about the Sushi Den's and the Sasa's, however, give this diamond in the rough a chance. The value is the only drawback, i recommend going during happy hour which is around 5-7 pm.
Great Sushi. The sushi was delecious with much larger portions than we have experienced at Japon on Gaylord. The service was super and the presentation was very appetizing. Be sure to try the apple saki as an after dinner drink and ask for Dana.
Great food and service. My husband and I recently moved to the neighborhood and have been to the restaurant a few times, by ourselves and with our 1 year old son. We have had good service and great food everytime. If you like sangria, you have to try the Samur-gria. It is amazing!!! Also, the organism roll is ...... (you get the picture). We highly recommend Samurai!
