Shelling out the $$ for a bad Shellac. I've been getting my nails done for many years, and have tried multiple locations for acrylics, gels, manicures, and shellacs. Upon finding a groupon for a place that was right in my neighborhood but had never tried, gave me an excuse to try out a place that would be super convenient to become a regular at.

Upon entering, I was ignored for a decently awkward amount of time, made greater still due to the positioning of the tables, giving you the feeling of being 'on stage'. As I waited for any one of the 9+ employees to notice my entrance, finally I was motioned over to one of the girls who was on the phone. I waited for some time for the conversation to end, and then began the process.

It went as most nail conversations go, getting formalities out of the way in attempts to break the silence. She informed me that the french tip shellac I was getting lasts for much longer than the color shellacs and would be great. It was just an extra $5 charge. Grudgingly I accepted, and continued. An off-brand shellac/gellish was used that didnt look familiar. The process continued until completion, I gave the groupon, tipped over 35% and continued on my merry little way.

Expecting many fantastic days with my new french manicure I was pumped. However, during day two, BLAMO one nail's worth of 'shellac' peels right off. Dumbfounded I thought it was just a piece of bad luck and carried on. After about 4 days, each and every nail had either completely peeled off, had the tip ripped off past the natural nail point or was missing the 'shellac' completely. After discussing with a friend in the business, she claimed that an off-brand shellac was most likely used due to how cost-efficient it was, that obviously didnt hold like the real thing. Not sure if this was their scheme from selling large amounts of groupons and no loss of profit or what happened, but I expect any nail job to last more than a few days.

After this experience I will absolutely be straying away and guiding others to places better suited for what should have been a great nail job.

Angie is wonderful. I have been going to Angie for 6 years. The work she does on my nails is exceptional, but that is only part of her service. Angie is friendly, patient and easy to talk to. I look forward to my bi-weekly visists to share with her all my thoughts and experiences.

If you are looking for a great manicure from friendly people in an attractive shop then Nail Talk is for you.

Angie is very accommodating and professional. The very first time I walked into Nail Talk was on a Sunday and I didn't realize that they were closed that day. Angie was in there doing some managerial things, and had no problem with stopping what she was doing and sat me down immediately in her chair.

I have now been going to Angie for 2 years now, and even though I have moved from the area, I will drive from work just to see her once every 2 weeks. She is always willing to work around my busy schedule and I have never felt neglected as her client.

Angie is very professional, talented, and I am actually able to call her my friend as well. I will never switch to another!

Mary, I'll never leave her:). I have been seeing Mary for about 9 years now, it all started when I went to get my nails done for my wedding. Since then I can't imagine not going to her. During the time I have seen Mary I have moved north of Brighton and then back down to Thornton- it can be a good hour drive to get down to Littleton but I have never considered finding anyone closer and the reason is simple. There have been a few times over the last 9 years when I have had to go to someone else, Mary was sick (hey it can happen), she had a month of maternity leave when she had her son, and I have received a couple of gift certificates for my nails at other salons. Regardless of where I went, little boutique shops, high end spas or the convenient place around the corner, comparatively, they were all awful. I'm not technical in what the process each technician uses but my nails would be thick and the polish job was bad and everytime it has just been subpar. So bottom line, I love Mary, and because of my other experiences I would not consider going elsewhere. I take a "me" day once every two weeks and I come out with beautiful names and I always joke to all my friends- Mary's also the cheapest therapist I know:)

Nicole is FABULOUS.. Nicole has been doing my nails for over 3 years now and they have never looked better. My nails stay looking like I just got them done for the entire 2 weeks in between my appointments and the compliments that I receive is nonstop.

She gives a great pedicures. They actually last about a month and look great during that time.

I love the "ME" time that I get when I go into the salon. Nicole and Cathy keep me very entertained with great conversation and laughter for the full time that I am there. The atmosphere is great!!!

I highly recommend both Nicole and Cathy for all your mani - pedi needs.

They are awesome. Give them a call
