Who's Running This Place???.
I would have given this location a corner of a star if that were an option. I ordered an ice cream cake and asked that it be ready between 11:00 - 12:00 for pick-up.
As I was driving on my lunch hour to pick up my cake, I received a call at 12:02 letting me know it wouldn't be ready until 12:45. Needless to say, I was NOT happy. But wait... it gets better! I then get a call five minutes later telling me that the manager misquoted the time and it would not be ready until 1:00 or later as the cake decorator didn't know about the deadline and was not coming in until later. Well, that was not good news since my office celebration was scheduled on 25 peoples calendar for 1:30 and I would be rushing to get back and get everything set up. I arrived to get the cake promptly at 1:00 and all I get from the manager is a slew of "sorrys" and an offer to help me to my car?!?! And to top it all off, the writing on the cake looked like it was done by a five year old child. Needless to say, I will not be ordering my monthly birthday cakes from this location and think the owner should know that there are a bunch of idiots running/working in his store. The only good thing I can say is that the cake tasted great and held true to the Cold Stone standards.
Sweet tooths line up for ice cream concoctions made on a granite slab..
Crowds of couples, teenagers and parents with toddlers press up against the long refrigerated display case at this dessert chain, where a variety of ice creams, frozen yogurts and sorbets are made in-store daily. Customers choose flavors like sweet cream, cake batter or banana, add mix-ins--ranging from candy bar chunks and Gummi bears to hot fudge and peanut butter--then servers mash it all together on a frozen slab of granite.
loud, loud ice cream. Very good, homemade taste but the place is too deafening. I love their ice cream and mix-ins. You can add a variety of fruit, candy, nuts, and toppings to your fresh made ice cream and have it in a fresh waffle cone. But the atmosphere is more geared to high schoolers. All the staff is young, most of the patrons are too, and they ring a bell every time they get a tip. Since it's so noisy, the staff sometimes gets your order wrong because they can't hear you yelling over all the racket. I usually get my ice cream and escape outside as soon as possible to avoid the noise.
