I was looking for a nice camera; I called, and Marc Morris took like 45 minutes on the phone to tell me about the two cameras I was looking for. I loved the way Marc explained to me the differences between them. I went to the store next afternoon to buy my Sony Alpha. He is very knowledgeable in photography and he always takes the time to explain everything you want to know. Of course, I will always go back to Mike's Camera at this location to buy whatever I need. Thanks for having great employees like him!
I'd like to let you know of the excellent service I received... I recently bought a new digital SLR and lens at Mike's and spent much time (in several visits) talking to Brian, weighing the options, features, etc. He let me "play" with the cameras and gave honest and helpful advice. Brian was always helpful, friendly, and engaging - from my point of view he provided exemplary service. His service was the reason I bought at Mike's instead of on-line
Too often in our weary world, we hear only negative feedback. I wanted you to hear some that is positive and well deserved. Our organization recently ordered 10 digital prints from Mike's Camera and had them matted, framed and labeled at your Boulder site. From the moment John spoke with me about the possibilities for the series of pictures to the delivery of the final product, I knew I was in good hands as he handled the complete order with ease and professionalism. Even so, as I unwrapped the framed pictures, I was not totally prepared for the very high quality and fine workmanship that obviously went into the process of creating hanging works of art... They look gorgeous! Many thanks and kudos -- to the talented staff at Mike's Camera! You folks are a class act.
Caveat emptor: Beware of Mike's Camera.
Beware: this company does not stand behind the products it sells.
Case-in-point: my client, an elder artist-lady, bought a $800 Epson 3000 there. Although the machine was setup correctly, the machine did not function as advertised.
Mike's salesperson/technician came by charged her $70 cash and told her he could not fix it.
I've been the lady-artist's computer technician for 10 years. I could not make the machine work. I called the store manager, who researched the situation and then told the artist-lady that "she" had to call Epson and make warrantee arrangements.
I called Epson for her, went through the phases that were necessary to convince them to replace the machine - a courtesy which Mike's Camera should have performed for her.
This elderly lady has spent nearly $5K at Mikes
