DO NOT GO THERE FOR ANYTHING~~ TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!.
I took a three strand beaded bracelet that needed one of the strands restrung-- one of the double reinforced strings in the one heavier strand was broken- and was charged $24.00 for a four inch restringing job. The strand itself was not yet apart. I was expected to prepay for the work, and I had no problem doing so. Two weeks later I was telephoned that the work was completed. I brought the bracelet home and discovered it was exactly as it was when I'd taken it in for the repairs. NO WORK AT ALL HAD BEEN DONE! After calling the store, I took the bracelet back with my receipt and asked, "What could have happened that the work was not done"? The jeweler person did not even try to offer an explanation. He did not even apologize for my inconvenience; as well he should have. A heartfelt apology would have gone a long way! Instead he was very snippy, and said, "So I guess you want the work done for free now!" I told him I didn?t. Up to this point, he had been so very rude I?d felt that a discount was appropriate and said ?a 50% discount on the job would be good, since he was asking?. He then barked at his co-worker to ?give her a refund!? and he put my bracelet back down on the counter and turned his back to me and walked away. The coworker did not apologize for his rudeness either, although she looked embarrassed.
FYI, I was not a new customer at this store. I had had a gold ring resized as well as watch batteries replaced in the past three years. I walked out of the store with a refund on my charge card and my broken bracelet. This treatment from a supposed professional is unacceptable. They have forever lost a customer
