Stay Away. The park is dirty around the beaches. Lots of fishing line and garbage from unresponsible fishermen. It's really hot in the summer since the camp sites have very little shade. The one officer we bumped into was pretty rude and unhelpful. The place also gets really crowded... hundreds of watercraft on a fairly small lake. If already you're in Colorado, you can do much better than Chatfield State Park. If you're just looking for a place to go hang out and drink with a bunch a people, Chatfield will do just fine.…
