Maybe It was a BAD Night...... Maybe it was a bad night, but a lot of OTHER people enjoyed paying a high price for mediocre food. My date ordered a steak. It was fine. I ordered shrimp and got four, over fried for around $20. Not a good value. The dining room is noisy and crowded. It would be better for large group dining. There is also a smell outside--maybe from a water-treatment plant. Not impressed.

Mountain retreat in Littleton.
My daughter and son-in-law treated my wife and I to an evening here. I had heard on one radio talk show that the restaurant was not very good. Boy were they wrong. From the peanuts in the shell (then throw the shells on the floor), the 'all you can eat' crock of soup to the chicken fried steak and filet mignon, everything was outstanding! Absolutely delicious! Prices were fair and the service was excellent.
Beware of the wait. If you go when the rush is on, you can wait for an hour or so. Hmmmm, must be good to be that crowded.
Magnificent mountain decor with elk and deer heads as well as other decorations that are rustic.

Fun & Tasty. This has been one of my favorite restaurants for years. It's true that if you show up during peak dinner hours, the wait can be excrutiating (especially when you're starving!), but it's always well worth it. The prices are about right for the amount of food you get, especially the yummy homemade soup & bread included with every meal. It can be a great deal if you watch the newspaper for a buy one meal get one free coupon that they sneek in the sports section a few times a year. I love this place!

north woods crap. After raving about this place for several months, i convinenced my wife and childern to go, my first mistake. We were greeted bya less than friendly "young lady" and use the term only to state she was still in high school. Who told us "you'll have to wait 45 minutes just sit over there..." which we did. While everyone else had a wait person getting drinks for them, we sat un-noticed. finally the "hostess" called for us took us to a table where we watched everyone coming in after got started...finally our waiter( who was the comedian of the place entertaining everyone but us) came over to us after 11 minutes and acted like "hurry up I'm very busy here" by stating "what do ya want?" We left.....don't go to this place unless you like to be treated like you and your money don't matter
