Treated like a big spender, but spent little

This is from the letter I send to American:

When determining which company to install an additional sprinkler zone in my backyard, I was hesitant to contact American Design & Landscape. Based on the pictures on your website, I got the impression that you only do high-end work, which I also assumed would be expensive. I had already gotten some quotes from other companies, and I either wasn’t happy with the cost or with the impression I got from the person who came to my house. I’m glad I decided to call American.

Nick, the Irrigation Manager who provided my estimate, was very professional. He was attentive when I was describing my plans for the space and clear when discussing options. He told me that he would have a quote to me within three days. I received the quote the next day from Kathy, and it was detailed, clear and concise. The price matched the lowest bid that I received from other companies, and it was the only bid I received that provided options as discussed during the visit instead of just a lump sum cost. Kathy was pleasant on the phone and helped to iron out the details of the final contract, and I appreciate the fact that she ensured that I was satisfied with the work prior to charging my credit card with the final payment.

The installation team arrived at my house as scheduled and Nick was there to line them out on the job. Z, Joel and Antonio did a great job installing the sprinklers and communicated with me throughout the process to ensure that they were providing what I wanted. They were careful to protect my grass, trees and surrounding structures during installation, and they cleaned up the area completely when the job was finished.

The bottom line is: I feel that I got the exact same service I would have received if I were a large repeat commercial account, and I got it for the lowest price available.
