Founded in Southern California in 1962 by Glen Bell (who invented the pre-fab hard taco shell), this casual order-at-the-counter Mexican restaurant features classics like tacos, nachos, quesadillas and burritos. In recent years, menu offerings have expanded to include specialty items like gorditas, chalupas and cinnamon twists.

Don't go to this Taco Bell!. On 16th St. there are so many other better places to go. The dining area looks like a bomb went off, and there's always police tape either inside or outside the place. I ordered a chicken quesadilla, and it wasn't heated enough. The cheese didn't melt, and I felt sick for a long time afterward. Do not go here if you want to keep your stomach lining.

Dianne Hallberg. You've got to be kidding! Taco Bell? With all the other GREAT, authenic, Mexican restaurants in Denver? How is a high rating for Taco Bell even possible?
