Worst 4 star hotel. My friends and I decided to do a girls night out downtown. I booked the room via Expedia for double beds. When we checked in there was no problem but when we got to the room there was only one bed. The guy clearly saw all 3 adults at the counter but he didn't even mention that there was only one bed!! When I went back down to the counter the alledged manager told me they were all booked up and it was my fault for using Expedia to book the room. Really, the customer is at fault for using the internet to book a room!!! Horrible. Then they didn't even apologize for my inconvenience. They eventually agreed to send a roll-away bed thats after I lost my temper with them. The director was to contact me in the room we were in. He called and offered to cancel our reservation if we weren't happy and that he could have some staff come up and pack for us. Wasn't that really thoughtful? Again no apology for the inconvenience or rudeness or even a offer of a free coffee or drink. Just a you can get the hell out type of attitude;you really want to start your weekend off like that. It was really shameful the way they treated us. I would never recommend anyone staying there unless you wanted to be treated like crap and pay a lot of money to be treated that way. They also charge 26.00 a day for parking. It was an awful experience all in all and how in the hell they ever got a 4 star rating with a run down hotel like that I will never know.  View Less View More

Absolutely zero negatives - this place has it all!. I stayed at the Westin Tabor Center in Denver this past weekend, May 2-4, 2008. The reason for my trip was a gathering of friends for a weekend away.

Entering the hotel through a door held by their very helpful doormen, you're greeted with two escalators and a small starbucks stand. Much different than most hotels, the 'front desk' is actually a series of four smaller desks on floor level. Service was economical - I had my keys in hand within two minutes of arriving at the front desk. The decora in the lobby area is very modern, with lots of dark browns, blacks, and tans throughout, accented by bright red, yellow, and blue abstract art.

From the front desk, a bank of four elevators awaited. Our room was just off the sixth floor elevators. The two-double-bed room was average sized yet spacious. It had the requisite desk, chair with ottoman, tv atop the dresser, night stand, and two beds. Our room looked out towards the mountains, though most of the scenery is blocked by adjacent buildings.

The bathroom was almost too spacious, with granite tile and countertops, just enough lighting, and a very large shower/bath. The shower had dual heads, to my wife's delight, and plenty of water pressure. It was also very clean.

The location was perfect for our trip. We had tickets to a Rockies game, which was a short 10 minute walk away. The bars and restaurants near Coors Field are fun and hip, with several rooftop decks, sports bars, and small breweries only a 6-4-3 double play away from the stadium. Invesco, while still relatively close, was about a 45 minute walk away towards the mountains, and might be a bit of a bear to walk in the winter time. Cabs at the hotel appear to be plentiful, however.  View Less

Romantic City Getaway. For our one year anniversary my girlfriend and I spent an evening at the Westin Tabor Center. I was able to call ahead and upon my mention of it being our anniversary was advised of the champagne and strawberries available to be ready in our room. Took this offer without hesitation.

Upon our arrivial, the valet was quick with our bags, immediately checked in and up to our room. Gorgeous view of the city and luckly the new Denver Hilton was opening this evening and we were treated to a fabulous fireworks display.

The following morning breakfast in the wonderful Westin bed was served and for being an SPG member, check out was late at 4:00pm.

Great place for a romantic getaway in the heart of the city.  View Less
