The Ski Train ferries passengers from downtown Denver's Union Station to the Winter Park Resort. The train features 750 seats in 17 rail cars that stretch more than a quarter mile. The 56-mile route climbs roughly 4,000 feet and passes through 28 tunnels before reaching the final mountain underpass: the 6.2-mile Moffat Tunnel, which passes under the Continental Divide. Passengers depart less than 100 yards from the base of the chair lifts at Winter Park.
