Any one (all ages) who is visiting Denver needs to check out Larimer Square! It's a great place to shop and eat out. It's always decorated with lights and looks amazing at night time. They also have events on this block at different times of year such as, Oktober Fest, and La Piazza Del Arte (artists do sidewalk chalk paintings). Larimer Square is located close to 16 Street Mall, so even after you go see a movie at the pavillions: take the free Mall Shuttle down to Larimer and walk 1 block over to 15th to see what Larimer Square has to offer you!

Just by accident I found a great little narrated walking tour of Larimer Square. A local college history professor named Kevin Rucker narrates the tour. The tour starts at the Del Mar Crab House at 5 pm on Wednesday and Saturday and cost $10. The tour last 3 hours and is very entertaining. Kevin is quite a character and dresses in period attire. The tour is a little on the long side, but there were two stops by local historical watering holes. The first stop was at the famous Cruise Room in the Oxford hotel, the second was at the famous Mattie Silks, both had liquid refresments and food. I would recommend this tour for just about anyone, youll cover several mile by the time your done, and youll be thoroughly entertained. You should contact Kevin to verify the schedule at ruckerk@mscd.edu before you decide to go. Have Fun !
Pros: Entertaining, Educational, Fun
Cons: Long walk, Weather
