AWFUL SERVICE!!!. I went to this place with my family and friends of mine.?We sat about 5min to get water, and we sat another 20min to get order taken, we sat for 45min to get our food. 2 tables that came in after we ordered got served while we sat!! One plate was not what we ordered!!! They did not correct their mistake to include an apology. My husband didn't leave a tip for this meal. The owner and cook confronted us about the lack of tip. an argument ensued.... I REALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT(They need training)!!!

Favorite authentic Japanese lunch!!. We LOVE this place. It's friendly, has a wonderfully attentive and accomodating staff. You can tell they get regulars who recognize the gem this place is because they greet many of their customers by name and ask, "the usual?" The food is delicious, especially if you appreciate or are curious about authentic Japanese food. It reminds me of my grandma's!! I'm glad I found this place!

A Step Above Japanese "Fast" Food. Hidden in a corner away from traffic and walking paths is Yoko's, a small family-owned restaurant not open past 5:30 pm. And yet the food is wonderful: it's very much home styled with delightful touches that people who are used to Japanese fast food (Taki's, Tokyo Joe's, Kokoro) would not expect. The staff may not speak perfect English, but they are friendly if slightly reserved and the food comes quickly. It's hot, it's delicious. You can see into the kitchen from the main dining area, so you may learn a few things about how your food is prepared.

I recommend everything on the menu. I have heard the curry is good (not a curry fan), the donburi bowls are excellent, the soups are filling, and it feels very balanced once you've finished the meal. If you are not familiar with natto (fermented soybeans), you probably won't want to try it--they smell like nail polish remover and taste like greasy little beans. The Japanese themselves align to something like a 50% like/dislike ratio on this "delicacy." Everything else on the menu is safe.

Enjoy.
