Overpriced wine, appetizers okay. This place has a great happy hour with half price pizza and wine, but outside of that time frame I can't say many positive things. When I asked for the house wine one night (which is the tactful way to ask for the least expensive, but decent wine) I was told a glass of the house wine was $12. Glad she told me, however I do not like the pretentious nature of restaurants with such high priced house wines. The cigar room in the back may have had a nicer atmosphere without the TV. The appetizers are fairly good as is the music at times they play. Average bar.
A wine bar with all the elements for a romantic evening in the city..
In Short
"Enoteca" means "wine library," and wine scholars will not be disappointed in the extensive catalog and knowledgeable staff here. In the front, jazz plays for candlelit couples slowly sipping wine, while the back houses a cigar-friendly lounge, complete with leather chairs and couches. There are no entrees, but a decent selection of appetizers are available, including the homemade basil torte. Can't decide? A sampler provides three for the price of two.
