Editorial Review for Sullivan's Steakhouse – by Marty Jones
In Short
The 1940s vibe here is classy but not over the top: dark woods, starched tablecloths and piped-in big-band jazz. The bar has great murals, live jazz and a bar menu for a casual night out. The house specializes in Black Angus beef; the one-and-a-half-pound Kansas City strip is a favorite. Rib eyes, New York strips and porterhouse cuts are other big attractions. Sides--from baked potatoes to broccoli heads and more--come a la carte.

I was on a short vacation with some buddies from AZ and our hotel recommended Sullivan's for a great evening of steaks and cigars. Service was friendly and attentive by some of the best looking waitstaff I have seen in a long time. The martinis were cold and refreshing and the wine our server chose was perfect. Food was prepared perfectly as ordered and the cigars on the patio after dinner made for a perfect evening. A stunning female manager came by several times, I think her name was Angie, to check up on us and after we left over 3 1/2 hours later, we were completely satisfied. Congrats to the staff and mnagers for "getting it". I learned there is one here in AZ in Tucson and I will surely make the drive from Phoenix to visit.
Pros: Great Energy!
Cons: Not one in Phoenix/Scottsdale

I have been going to sullivans now for a year and a half. Their thursday night bar menu is a must but after having eaten in the dining room about 10 times now i only have the best to say. Their wine list is extremely good and extensive and if you ask Johnny laxon for the off the menu stuff, he comes up with some great bottles. The service is what i have been most impressed with. it isnt uncommon to get great service from steak houses but having eaten at almost all of them in denver and south denver, i am confident in saying that they have some of the best service in town. This is a MUST for steakhouses in denver. lastly the atmosphere is next to perfect and unbeknownst to most people it has been here for 8 years. They are not going anywhere with their great steaks, awesome service and great wine list
Pros: Service / Food / Wine Selection
Cons: Cant think of any
