THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE!!. My wife and I went to Panzano's the first night of Denver Restaurant Week and were thoroughly disappointed. This is suppose to be a 5 star restaurant and should be more like a 2 star! The best part of the meal was the first course, which was just OK, then quickly declined over the next three courses!

Both of our Caesar salads were dry, boring, and lacking substance. Mine had 1 tiny piece of anchovies, 2 small Capers, and 2 croutons.

WORST SALAD EVER!!

Our next course was the entrees, which were both very disappointing.

I had the :( •Salumi Ravioli ~ Ravioli filled with cured meats and a three cheese blend, finished with a sage pomodoro ) - which tasted ok but had way too many sage leaves, which overpowered the whole dish. Also the Ravioli's were only about 1/4 filled, which I have not ever seen.

My wife had the : ( •Burrida ~ Traditional Genovese seafood stew with scallops, shrimp, clams, Alaskan King Crab, squid and black mussels) - which was a far cry for a STEW. More like a water-tomato mixture with separately cooked seafood thrown in.

!!!!!!!!TERRIBLE ENTREE'S!!!!!!!!!!

By the time dessert came around our stomachs were churning uncomfortably with bad food and could hardly eat the dessert. VERY PLAIN Cannoli and Tiramisù. The Tiramisù tasted like the store bought version from COSTCO, which is better.

!!!!!!!VERY BAD ATTEMPT OF FINE DINNING AND FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WE will NEVER be back, and I hope this review steers you far away from this place!!!!!

you have to be joking. My wife and I had not been to Panzano in 3 years, we thought we would give it a try again. Back then then the food was okay, but we really had a problem when we saw a mouse run out of a private room in the back of the resturant around the corner and into the kitchen area. we had not been back until this year, we knew that there was a recent remodel and thinking that would have solved the problem of the rodent and remodels usually are for the best.. oh not so. Who on earth let somone go to town with battle ship gray paint, this place screams done on a shoe string budget. All of this set aside we sat next to the chefs counter, which was sold to us as the best seat in the house. At one point I asked my wife if we were on a hidden camera show, we were able to witness an extremely drunk man who was with what had to be a "professional" lady, we saw two line cooks argue, servers cut bread with bare hands, had a bottle of water served in an extermely dirty bottle.but the most annoying part was we had a man standing next to us screaming "runner, runner" during our entire experience. the cherry on the whole experience was a man that bounced over to our table with hands together as though he was praying, then asked us if we enjoyed everything. We had no idea who he was. he creeped my wife out. we were told he was the assistant manager...way over the top, W,hen we asked to see the manager we were told he was seldom there in the evening. this place is a train wreck if you want to drop the kind of cash, i suggest going to any number of places other than Panzano. Oh but hey the mouse was no longer there, im sure he has found a better place too.

Formerly Wonderful Panzano. Their website photo no longer represents what the restaurant looks like since their remodel. The old world charm has been replaced with prison-cell gray. Everything, it seems (including the staff in their gray shirts) has been painted. Gone are the beautiful hardwoods, tablecloths (they used going "green" as their excuse), flowers and pretty much anything else that you would expect to find at Panzano, pre re-do. In other words, anything that provides energy and comfort has been removed.

We have gone to Panzano's for many years and we will be moving on.

Perfect Date Spot. Panzano As far as fine dining in Denver is concerned, Panzano is the best italian restaurant I have tried thus far. When dining at Panzano I request to sit at the Chef’s Counter, this is where the magic happens. Several cooks accompanied by the head chef prepare all of the food directly in front of you and if you are lucky, they just may give you a taste of a new menu item. The atmosphere is quiet, quaint, and romantic making it the perfect place for a date. The tables are all set up to create a somewhat secluded experience. In the several times I have dined at Panzano the service has been great at the Chef’s Counter yet not as well in the dining room. I would not suggest going during a busy time or during brunch if you expect excellent service. It seems as though the staff does not ever remember you are there. Food prepared at Panzano is phenomenal. Of all the items from the menu that I have tried, the grilled caesar salad and the scallops are the tastiest. I can honestly say that I have not tried something that I did not like. I would suggest this restaurant during the slower shifts during the week for the best experience possible.
