Award Winner- The best Casar Salad in Denver!.
Uniquely prepared Casar Salad was a delight!
They halve a head of romaine Lettuce and flash grill it for a subtle smoky accent.
Fresh dressing and even lil' anchovies on the side if you want.
It was fast, fresh and filling!
We will be going back. Lunch with my wife was a delight at Panano.
Too pretentious. We went to Panzano's last year for restaurant week after reading a bunch of rave reviews. Needless to say, we were disappointed. Small portions and the food wasn't even that good. Too bad.
Always enjoyable..... I have eaten at Panzanno's twice and never had italian! However, the two meals I did have stand out as absolutely fantastic. While staying at the Hotel Monaco I had their Ricotta Pancakes - sounds a bit odd - but they are rich and satisfying. Truly a wonderful twist on a classic! I have also eaten there for lunch and the Hamburger on a Rosemary Bun with Gorganzola - simple and delicious! Service was great, good location and always tasty :)
MY FAVORITE DENVER RESTAURANT.
My girlfriend and I first visited Panzano during Denver's restaurant week back in Feburary. Immediately, the menu caught our attention, boasting three cheese and mushroom crepes for appetizers, lobster and shrimp risoto, grilled caeser salads, and something they called the chocolate trio for dessert. Usually, when a menu like that gets me excited, the place turns out to be too good to be true. Guess what? It wasn't! Panzano absolutely delivers on all its promises to delight!
I went to this restaurant again last night, and was even more delighted than before by a scalop dish in which the scalops were perfectly seared on the outside and incredibly tender and moist on the insides. The risoto in the dish was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was amazingly creamy and dilectible. The service on both occasions was beyond exemplary, the drinks were summery and tasty, and the dessert was, once again, decadent.
I'm pretty good at finding faults with restaurants, but, at Panzano, there are no faults. I would go back there in a New York minute, and I urge you to do the same if you happen to be in the mood to eat an Italian dinner that you will never forget.
Best meal I've had in Denver!.
This Restaurant was out of this world!
The calamari, is some of the best I've had anywhere. I also loved the shrimp and lobster risoto.
Nothing special, great staff but food is meh. panzano's is a neat space but the food is meh. My whole party was really not all that impressed by the food. Serivce was great but my food was dry and all and all it's not worth the price.
Bland food, too stuffy.
I would not recommend this place as a good restaurant. I expected a tasteful, classic italian restaurant, in the spirit of the Three Sons or Pagliaccis, but more elegantly appointed. Instead I felt like I was in a stuffy, old generic restaurant. The service was good, but the food was bland and unexciting. I went with what the Waiter recommeneded for me as excellent and felt I could have gotten better food almost anywhere.
On a side note, i also went here for a christmas party one year. I thought they did an excellent job planning hte party, and their bananas foster for dessert was excellent, and fun to watch them make it right in front of you.
all in all though, I would never recommend this place to anyone except for a party.
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER- PLEASE DON'T EAT THERE!!!!!.
It was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had in Denver and I told the manager, who would not listen to my concerns before she started making excuses! She was rude and had not idea about customer relations! She seemed uneasy because the place was so busy. I would never go there again nor would I suggest or refer it to anyone!
Please don't waste your time or money! They seem to only treat the "regulars" with any respect!
avoid at all costs. From the gum chewing hostess who was using the only terminal available to seat our party to the bad martini, followed by poor service, a microwaved appetizer, cold, coagualted white sauce on our overcooked pasta, measly portions, boring wine list, outrageous prices, to the bus boy pouring water with his thumb in the picture. This was once a restuarant to which I looked forward to dining in (I'm a fabulous cook) and taking out of town guest to...no more, never again...Good Luck
Located next door to Hotel Monaco, Panzano combines a rich atmosphere with even richer flavors of northern Italy's cuisine..
In Short
While dark-wood accents and paintings summon a quiet elegance, the clank and sizzle from the open kitchen, piles of fresh-baked bread and animated conversations keep the room lively. Pasta highlights include the homemade ravioli steeped in cream sauce. Instead of settling on just one dessert, finish with the selezione de giorno--three or four small selections from the menu that allow a few bites of each of the chef's favorites.
