Racist. Had a great time until the trigger happy bouncer saw the party next to our table getting rowdy...they grabbed my friend by the arm, despite our lack of involvement and being separate, and our explanations as such. The Latino bouncer (forgive my characterization as such, we did not catch his name) only laughed at our protestations and said "not my problem!" with apathy.

best place for kareoke on wed nights. Every wednsday night, me and the girls go down to crocs for a little bit of stress relief in the middle of the week. they have dj hosted kareoke, as well as 99cent tacos and happy hour all night long. It a great place to get goofy with friend s and not break the bank. Heather and Jenn are the my homegirls, best bartenders in Denver.

Best Gem off 16th street mall. so now they have new barstools, which means I'm in trouble because I could watch football all day at the bar. Since they're drink prices or so reasonable, I won't break the bank either.

Try the grilled beef fajita tacos, they're extremely tasty.

Decent food, terrible margaritas. Croc's is a fairly average place to get Mexican food in Denver. It's just-off-the-mall location makes it somewhat convenient to get to, and popular. The $1 taco Wednesday and drink specials contribute as well.

However, I can honestly say they served the worst margarita I've had -- I would swear it was about 60% triple sec, 30% water, and 10% tequila, topped with a lime wedge.

The beef tacos lack seasoning, but aren't terrible. Salsa was tasty and abundant, despite having to pay for the first round of chips and salsa.

Service was attentive and good. The waitress was very friendly, though nobody welcomed us on the way in. (nor directed us to a table, etc.) In a pinch, I would probably go back, but there are better Mexican places in the area.

Good Service, Good food. I had a coupon and had seen ads for this place before so definitely wanted to try it! Salsa was very good. That is usually a deciding factor for me! It was tasty! Having to pay for chips and salsa seems a little week, but it was still tasty. I have the blackened shrimp tacos ? wow! Great flavor! Hubby went for the chimichanga. Not much spice ? but can you really go wrong with a fried burrito? The atmosphere was fun, tons of TV?s to watch. Didn?t get to try the drinks, but I?ll be back for that fun later! Our server was very friendly, our drinks were never empty and our chips and salsa stayed filled.

Fun atmosphere...good food. Terrific food, while not necessarily authentic, it's tasty!

Food is great, the atmosphere is fun, drinks are cheap, and it's in a convenient spot to all downtown transit spots.

The taco items are terrific, nachos are plentiful, they have a great drink menu and even their own "Croc's Ale" from Breckenridge (which is great). If I had to make a recommendation, I'd likely start with the nachos and go with either a combination plate or a taco plate (again...these can't miss).

I highly recommend Croc's, but it can be noisy on the weekends. Definitely a college crowd, no matter how you look at it. On a weekend you're likely to see 90% of the customers as college guys wearing the same untucked button-up shirt, gelled hair, blue jeans, and 3 other friends dressed the same way. That's life. If it doesn't, Croc's is your place for mexican food downtown.

"Spy Girl Doesn't Have A Clue!". Croc's isn't about a college crowd, it's about tradition. Family, locals, & friends (tourists too). Croc's was established in 1992. Long before the LoDo thing. They have been consistant ever since. From the weekend dancing in the back-room, to being a great place to watch your favorite sports. The food is genuinely tasty whether it's one of the Mexican specialities prepared by Chef Jose or tradtional American. Happy Hour and the late-night drink specials are reasonably cheap. The tequila selection is way awesome. My favorite is Jose Cuervo Tradtional, a true sipper!!! The atmoshpere is stratopheric, comfortable, & accommodating. The Bar & Waitstaff are chic and know their doo-doo. Want to get a little respite from the maddening world and other LoDo put-ons come to Croc's. I've been a regular since 1992; Wayward Bill
