Great Place!. I'm astounded at some of the most recent reviews. Makes me wonder if the reviewers were part of a group that caused problems and were treated accordingly. I've never sat on a sticky chair or had a sticky table, other than the messes I've made. The food has always been excellent and if you don't want a darkened pub experience, please go to a disco...not a "pub" for crying out loud.

I agree that the wait staff could be improved, but only once did I actually have to wait for an extended period of time. Then again, I go with the lunch crowd and the place gets pretty busy since so many people downtown frequent the place, so it was understandable.

The back patio on a nice summer day can't be beat. The service is also a little faster back there for some reason. This is one of our favorite spots and we often take out of town visitors there after visiting other nearby sites. We've never had anybody tell us they didn't enjoy it and believe me, our friends are not shy with their opinions.

Don't listen to the haters that obviously don't belong in a neighborhood pub. They'll find their way back to Denny's soon enough and the rest of us can enjoy some good food and great company.

You're Better Off at Your Brother's HOUSE. "My Brother's Bar" in LoDo, Denver... We tried it based on so many positive reviews, and because it's open till 1 am. The atmosphere was decent, if a little dark. A corner bar fashioned after a London Pub, dark wood, library-esque feeling. The burgers, service, and check, however, left much to be desired.

We walked in and were told to seat ourselves. We did, in a Booth/Table along the front windows. Then we were ignored for 5 minutes. A waitress noticed us, asked "Oh, has she not been by yet?" then wandered off, presumably to find "she." "She" finally appeared, took our drink order, sneered because we were not drinking alcohol, and scampered off. When she came back, I asked if the Chili was homemade. "Oh, yeah" was the reply. Sadly, I took her at her word and ordered a bowl. What I was presented with had obviously come out of a vacuum-packed envelope, and was lacking in many identifiable meat parts. I did find one chunk which appeared to be a piece of leftover hamburger patty. I wonder if that's how they keep food costs down: using day-old burgers to enhance packaged bean sauce and calling it Chili... or if their kitchen is as sloppy as their waitstaff. I'll never know, because I'll never go back. Because this place is all about hamburgers. "Best Hamburger in Denver" their promo signs cry. Well, we had 2 of their hamburgers. They were dry, overpriced, and flavorless. I ordered bacon on mine, and I have had better bacon at BurgerKing. (In fact, this bacon looked like Burger King bacon, only less cooked.) The 'Novelty' paper wrapping of the burgers, served in a 'tray' with condiments was cute, albeit impractical, since it did make eating somewhat of a challenge. And it did NOT make up for the lack of flavor or quality. The burgers were also close to $12 apiece, versus Denver's (Sedalia) "Locals in the Know" spot, Bud's Bar's $5. I'd not even recommend "My Brother's Bar" as a last resort at 1 am: You'll find better eats at Taco Bell.

The Cheesecake Factory, Midnight, 16th Street and Larimer.

The Cherry Cricket, 2 am, Clayton and 2nd Avenue

Pete's Kitchen, Colfax bet. High and Race St. (Forego the Burger Craving and grab a Gyro!)

Ironically I found service offensive as well. My server was a pompous brat. She ignored us for the first 10 minutes we were there. She scoffed at me when i asked for a menu, it was our first time there and we didnt know the menu was on the wall behind us. Our table and chairs were sticky, its so dark and there are large windows allowing for too much bright glare that you cant see anything inside, we started laughing about something and our server reprimanded us as if she were my mother. It was jaw-dropping how rude she was. It is a dirty dive bar, and there are plenty of better dive bars in denver where i am allowed to laugh, drink a few beers, and actually watch a football game. Sorry Brothers bar, but you are the worst and dirtiest dive bar in Denver. If you want to clean up your act, you should start by hiring all new bartenders and waitresses.

Offensive Service Disgusting Food. I have never been treated so poorly as a paying customer! I can't express in words how offensive the service was. Not to mention the place was in unsanitary health conditions. I would like to make it a personal mission for everyone to know how bad of an experience we had. So spread the word, "NEVER GO TO BROTHERS BAR!!"

Best Biurgers in Denver, hands down.. It's as if you are entering a time machine when you walk into the dark, dungeon like dining room that is My Brother's Bar. I'm sure it hasn't changed much in the more than 100 years in existence. I've had almost everything on the menu, and my two favorites are the JohnnyBurger and the Moisha. The onion rings can't be beat, as well. The way they deliver the goodie basket with the food is genius...you can build your burger any way you like!

Best Burger & O Rings I've Ever Had!. I was recently in Denver for a concert and by recomendation found this little place. I had a Johnny Burger and Onion Rings, couple beers and a 7&7. The burger was simply delicious. It's a great little bar, one of the best I've ever been to. They have a long list of beers on tap, most I had never tried. You wont find a Bud or a Coors here, but thats not a bad thing. The Server was so great, totally cool not pushing for a tip, which in turn got her a big one, I told her what kind of beers I like and she gave me a recomendation that was right on the money and freezing cold. My wife is a vegetarian, she had a grilled chese with 4 different kinds of cheese and a tomato with O rings and raved about it. They bring out your meal with a tray with all the condiments, peppers, relish, ranch.. the whole deal. The Atmosphere is fantasitc it's dimly lit, music at a level that you can have a conversation. This is the perfect place in Denver for a casual fun dinner with friends. Can't wait to get back to Denver, and back into this bar.

Worst pub food. The food tasted like dog food. Weird concept with no plates and annoying menus on the wall. The taps were dirty. The service was slow and it was not that busy.

Just great for the kids. I love My Brother's Bar, but was disappointed by my buffalo burger. Tetley's on draw was very nice....

One of Denver's gems. This is my favorite bar in Denver- I just wish they were open on Sundays. Really, if you know anything about REAL bars, you'd know that this qualifies as a classic. What's not to like? It's dark, it's old, they have good, stiff drinks and something other than watered down beers on tap, and it's for ADULTS, even though they do allow kids. Why, they even have a Mike Royko column framed and hanging by the bathrooms. For people who come from larger cities to Denver, this is likely to remind you of your neighborhood corner bar. The one where no one bothered you when you came in for a nightcap. I love the cheap wine, the hard drinks and the Ragin' Cajun tuna sandwich. I also have yet to find another Denver bar with popcorn. In Chicago, nearly every bar has it and I miss it. The only drawback is that they charge for it. If you enjoy an adult beverage among other adults, and like to eat late (kitchen is open until 1 a.m.), check out this Denver institution.

Go for the Johnny Burger. I went here this past weekend. I haven't been for years. It hasn't changed.

I am pretty picky when it comes to a burger. The Johnny Burger is out of this world. It has Jalapeno cream cheese, swiss cheese, american cheese and grilled onions. I personally like my burgers well done. It came out perfectly. I like the fact they bring out the condiment box if you want to dress it up even more. The bun is quality too. The onion rings and fries are good also.

The service was great. I had a screwdriver to drink. Plausible. If you are into beer, they have a great selection.

I would highly recommend going if you haven't done so.
