I LOVED the live music and the ambience
was nice. The menu we were given was the winter menu they were phasing out before beginning their spring menu.
I ordered a filet mignon. It was large, over 8 oz and wasn't anything like something you would have at a high-end steakhouse. My friends ordered a ravioli and duck dish. Both were delicious. Our server was great and I would definitely come back again for a weekend night. We dressed in semi-formal attire.
They also have a bar downstairs if you aren't in the mood to move around much after dinner.…
Blew my Mind!. Wow! 1515 was both elegant and quite possibly the best food in Denver. You know the kind of dinning experience you tell your buddies about for the next few weeks. In addition the staff was both kind and attentive. Gene, the owner I believe, explained how each dish was prepared using new innovative techniques. I found this fascinating. 1515 is a winner and I will surely return to see what else they have in store shortly.…
YIKES. Lets start with the positives... The dessert was excellent, and my steak was cooked perfectly. The manager was very attentive (sometimes too attentive). Other than that the experience was a bust... burned crab cakes, under cooked salmon (which tasted like it was previously frozen) , over dressed salad, cold and oily pomme frittes, and even the bread on the table, though warm, seemed like a brown and serve loaf from the store. We came for lunch so perhaps the dinner crew is better.…
Most Innovative Cooking in the Area.
We viewed the menu online and immediately reserved. Wildly innovative cooking using modern techniques like molecular and sous-vide. We went in a group of five, so that we could try as many dishes
as possible. All 3 versions of duck in "Duck Three Ways" were bursting with rich flavor, the Beef Carpaccio with Lobster Tempura and Truffles was truly to die for, the Wagyu Beef you cook on a stone was of the best quality and what a fun presentation! The desserts were incredible and creative as well (deconstructed strawberry shortcake, milk chocolate cotton candy!) Enormous and reasonably priced wine list. Gene Tang is a wonderful host - personable, knowledgable.
A perfect experience.…
Best Meal in Months!. My husband and I went on Friday night for drinks and a quick bite at the bar for a trial run before we committed to a full meal in the dining room. The bartender Paul, was warm and inviting and made a Sangria Martini that will make you slap your mama! We settled in and order a couple of appetizers, (Wagyu Beef & Procuitto/Melon/Handmade Mozz/18yr Balsamic) AMAZING!!! Gene Tang, the owner came over and chatted about the dishes, and insisted we try the Carpaccio. Now, my husband likes his meat well-done, but he tucked into this plate and loved it! After speaking with Mr. Tang at length about the restaurant, it is clearly apparent he loves and respects his chef. The Scallops (me), Duck Salad (husband) was the best food we have eaten since moving to Denver. Dessert did not disappoint, (cotton candy anyone?) We left 2 1/2 hrs later vowing to be back in the dining room soon. This is a place for people who are truly interested in eating innovative and tasty food. It is a restaurant that can be as expensive or inexpensive as you want.…
