Denver >Kevin Taylor Restaurant
the best in denver. Love this place for the perfectly prepared food and the elegant atmosphere. This food is by far the best I have had in Denver. Highly recommended for a special occasion or just a nice night out on the town.
Dinner is theater at this special-occasion restaurant at the Hotel Teatro..
Everyone from out-of-town celebrities to theatergoers gather at this plush restaurant. The gold-and-green decor creates an impression of a castle dining hall, which feels stuffy but turns lively when it's full. Famed local chef Kevin Taylor's menu features items such as seared scallops atop curried cauliflower, meaty white fish infused with fresh fennel and prime sirloin with Gorgonzola potato gratin. The signature dessert is a miniature cake that oozes rich, dark chocolate from the center.
Fantastic!. We had dinner at Restaurant Kevin Taylor a few nights ago. We were a bit early for our 8:30 reservations, but they were able to seat us right away. The service was wonderful; our waitor was attentive and personable. The food was amazing! It was a $200 meal, but you will get exactly what you expect from a $200 meal: wonderful food and great service. This will be our new celebration restaurant. We already have plans to go back a week after our wedding for our own private celebration.
Slow and very expensive but tasty!.
It took 10 minutes just to get our menus, 30 minutes from the time I was seated until I had a glass of wine(!!!!!) and 2.5 hours for the total meal. The waiter, while friendly and knowledgable, would disappear for 15 minutes at a time. I was also not overly impressed with the decor. It felt like I was in a hotel restaurant rather than one of Denver's finest restaurants.
However, the food was excellent. The portions were small as one must expect from a restaurant this pricey, but everything was exploding with flavors. Squid ink raviolis were incredible and the pork tenderloin with macaroni and cheese was delicious. Everything we had was really excellent but small.
I would recommend the restaurant only if you have a lot of patience and if someone else is buying.
Amazing Combinations of Flavors. Restaurant Kevin Taylor serves menu items with many different accents and sauces to make each meal incredibly unique. Even a simple sushi plate is loaded with flavor due to the three sauces surrounding it. I found the food to be incredibly complex and full of character. While it can be a bit pricey, it is well worth it because the food, service and overall experience is euphoric!
amazingly fabulous!. the service, the food, everything was great. went there to celebrate a 40-th birthday and it definitely made it special. had the $45 prix fixe menu and the selections were great. gave you lots of different choices at a great price. the sirloin melted in your mouth and the dessert was amazing. and on top of the food was the service. we were promptly seated and had a great staff wait on us. nothing bad to say at all. a great experience all around!
High caliber in the cow town.
Easily one of the finest restaurant in the Front Range.
While some of the portions are small the are of the finest quality, i.e. the foie gras.
Extrememly articulate and well versed wait staff, though things can go a bit awry for the pre theater menu. The classics are beautifully done, as in the caviar presentation, and the avant guard a delicately balanced chilean sea bass, euasian style nage with a micro julienne of scallions and sweet peppers.
Desserts are sublime with a whimsical flair in the presentation.
An all around winner, far better than the highly rated mediocority so common in this city.
Disappointing!. Food took FOREVER start to finish, almost three hours. An hour wait between apps., and main course. Had to skip dessert in order to make show at the Buell. Ordered wine 3 (3!!) times in order to get a bottle in stock! Food was nothing more than OK...Would not go back again.
Dining at it's finest. Excellent food, excellent service. Probably the best dining experience in terms of quality, service, and ambience. Sit back and enjoy yourself, take your time, and relish all Kevin Taylor's has to offer. Be prepared to lay down a minimum of $200.00, but the money is well worth it.
best restaurant. It offers the best in contemporary american food in denver prepared by a chef that is undoubtedly the most knowledgeable and talented that Denver can offer. The wine list is incredible, as well as the knowledgeable staff.
