Found The Delectable Egg on Citysearch and it was only a block from my hotel, so I couldn't pass it up. The menu is diverse, but not overcrowded and I was especially pleased to see juices available by the liter and half-liter for a very reasonable price. I ordered the frittata and was served a large portion with a generous helping of their own style hash browns and an english muffin. An excellent breakfast overall. The service was good, very friendly, and timely and the whole restaurant was clean and pleasant. I found that it gets very crowded early in the morning (before 9:00), so be prepared to get there early or wait for a bit. Highly recommended by this out of town visitor!
Pros: Great food, good service, pleasant atmosphere, reasonable prices
Cons: crowded in the morning

As big fans of a good breakfast, my husband and I tried The Delectable Egg on a recent trip to Denver based on customer reviews and were very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was easy to find, and the staff were all friendly, helpful, and professional. We arrived late morning and the service was very fast--we were seated immediately upon arrival and received our order within five minutes--remarkable! Of course, the food was the best part...many choices, some standard fair but many unique, healthy choices. I tried the California eggs benedict--containing spinach, tomato, and avocado (in place of the typical ham) with a delicate hollandaise sauce on an English muffin--and it was delicious. My husband tried an omelette that he enjoyed very much. Nothing that we ordered was greasy and everything was a notch above. They gladly offer to substitute their cubed potato hash browns side dish with one of a variety of other choices, such as yogurt, cottage cheese, fresh fruit--which, by the way, really is "fresh" and not bottled or canned fruit. Lastly, we ordered a strawberry smoothie "for the road" and since it was made with real strawberries, we found it too very fresh tasting, fruity, and creamy (not full of ice). We can't say enough good things about this restaurant; give it a try!
Pros: healthy, unique, tasty menu items
Cons: that I don't live in Colorado, so I can go there more often! :o)
